There's one that costs 10K gold from any stable. Just vendor some trash items and steal green items from containers to sell them in the outlaw den and you can get that money in a couple of days. There are also 3 other mounts that cost 45K each but they are not better in term of stats. Or you can get one for crowns in the crown store, but as with the other, the differences are purely aesthetic, not functional. The speed, carry capacity and stamina are trained per character, not mount.

Crown store is the quickest and easiest. Else you need to make money and buy one from stable. Or buy imperial edition from crown store and buy a 1 gold horse.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Oh, and when you've bought your horse don't forget to feed it each day at a stablemaster (aka leveling it for more speed, stamina and bag space).

As mentioned, you can buy one for 10k gold. You can also get one from the crown store if you don't mind spending real world money.

There's only one problem: your character's riding skill is currently 0, so your horse will be slow as a snail until you train it up. Or rather train your character up, to be more accurate. You can do that either at the stables for 250 gold per point (you can train only once a day), or by buying crown riding lessons for 100 crowns per point.

In addition to what everyone is saying, keep in mind you can train your riding skill even without a mount. I suggest doing this while you are saving for a mount, since it os just 250 gold a day and it will take six months to max everything.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

You're quicker just training your character, then buying a 10k horse when you have the cash. If you buy one it will be slower than you running around. I wouldn't touch a crown store mount if you've went this long without a mount. Not worth it as you will be left with an excess amount of crowns. Crowns are ok if you repeatedly buy items from the store, but a complete con if you just buy them for a one off purchase that forces you to buy more crowns than you need. It's very similar to how MS points used to work on LIVE. You were forced to sink more money into the coffers of MS than you wanted to. MS must have made millions for nothing using this method considering a lot of people only bought points for a one off purchase (hence the reason there was an outcry about the practice)

With the Imperial edition the Imperial horse used to cost 1 gold. Since the massive overhaul of the mount sytsem that came with the switch from subscription-only to buy-to-play the 1 gold cost went away - you just automatically have the horse in your collection if you have the Imperial edition.
If you buy one it will be slower than you running around.
Unless you have something that increases your running speed that's not true. A base mount without any upgrades is 15% faster than a character on foot. It's not a lot, so it's not super noticeable, but it is faster. A character on foot sprinting would probably outrun an un-upgraded mounted character who isn't sprinting, but if both are sprinting and don't have speed buffs, the mounted character will outrun the character on foot - and be able to keep sprinting when out of stamina.

go to a Public Dungeon and kill adds for an hour for the gold (usually get about 9-12K for an hour grinding weapons from bosses) and then go buy the basic horse mount at any Stable. Public dungeons are great for getting gold if you are new and do not have anything to sell.....also you could sell any good drops you get and make a lot more money

I've always thought the kollopi disguise should have been a mount so the 3 rewards would be polymorph, pet, mount.

Just subscribe for one month, you will get 1500 crowns per month just from being a subscriber, which is enough to buy a horse from the crown store and then cancel your subscription (if you are not a current subscriber). You will also get a crafting bag to hold all your materials, be able to dye costumes, and get 10% extra XP, have access to all DLCs, while a subscriber. Cost for a monthly sub is cheaper than a movie for many more hours of entertainment.

Anything involving the Crown Store isn't exactly "easy" as having spend additional real world cash is never an easy option. Not to mention having to go out and buy a whole other game just so you can get a code for something isn't easy either. The only easy way of getting a mount is buying the cheapest one in the stable. Granted as a new player I thought 10,000 gold was INSANELY expensive. But damn did I learn how wrong I was fairly quickly..

It'll be fine OP, after a couple days of looting and selling everything you pick up, you'll have enough for that Horse.

We don't know that. Maybe money isn't an issue for the OP and they'd rather spent a few bucks than grind for gold. It's good to know all your options, in any case.

I suspect if money wasn't an issue for the OP, s/he wouldn't be on here asking how to easily obtain a mount. After all, it's obvious to everyone that mounts are obtainable via the crown store. When you're new to the game you also get in-game ads shoving the crown store down your throat. I know i did. Every time i logged in for the first week i was met with crown store ads. Not saying the person is skint, but a lot of people do not wish to plough more real money into a game after they've bought the actual game at retail cost, regardless of how much the game cost.

There should be a 500cr mount in the store. Everyone who buys the game new gets 500crs. Those 500cr are nothing more than a ploy to get you to buy more crowns than you actually need.

Don't wait til max level. You'll want to get a mount as soon as possible because you have to level the mount (speed, stamina, carry capacity).

This, and also keep in mind that you can do your daily horse training before you even buy a mount. That'll be worth it down the line when you'll be glad you already have X days of training taken care of.

But having the mount itself is very convenient, so try to save up to buy one as soon as you can.

I did check, it's the Gray Yokudan Charger, and the Skyrim hide armor and iron helmet costume... which was kinda cool, but I already have the latter. Ironically, the only "normal" horse I have is the Imperial Edition one. I never bothered getting any of the others.

I was so chuffed when I made enough gold to buy a plain brown horse. None of your crown store stuff for me. I wasn't going to waste real money on this game.....

Then it got its claws into me and I now sub & have a variety of costumes, pets & mounts (including the electric sparkle kitty - actually that might have been what started it all).

But then I have I am sad (as my kids frequently tell me).

Oh if you are on ps4 go & check the psn store as for some reason it gave me the Skyrim related mount etc......without purchasing the game. Not sure if a glitch or whatever but could at least see. :)

    nope

    you can either:
    - get a lot of gold and buy it in the stable
    - buy eso gold edition and get it "for free" with it
    - buy it in crown store

unfortunately there are no mounts as quest rewards or anything similar
