My proposal for enhanced class versatility - a tradition system

fxeconomisteb17_ESO
I understood Zenimax was too busy with DLCs until now - though One Tamriel was a real success - but since that Spellcrafting isn't gonna come... ever, though it was first on our list.
But I'm thinking, every class has some abilities of interest. Why not making a tradition system, in which some NPCs could grant access to one ability of a class. Say a sorc will be able to access max one templar ability, one nb ability and one dk ability, and one ultimate from all the other 3 classes. And after you get it it will remain unchangeable for a week or two.
This way they don't actually have to add content or to struggle with crafting process numbers. What do you guys think ?
"Is it true her wounds healed on their own ? Yes" No s***, at 75% health regen penalty!

I was a vampire like you, but then I took an idea to the head...

I think that within a day, someone would figure out exactly what skills you should get depending on your class, role and mag/stam, and you could either follow that or be considered a scrub and be instantly kicked from any group.

And then people will choose all the best skills from that class and be a cloaking, streaking, wing flapping jesus beam spammer

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

I think I would take the venomous claw and take flight for my stam NB, and teleport attack and death stroke for my stam DK.

The question was whether or not it would be a viable system, not what you'd like to get. After all, in an Elder Scrolls game, you're supposed to be able to get everything.

The thought alone and that someone at ZOS might consider this idea is going to give me nightmares for the next week.

And that's why I said ahhhh as I see this as a nightmare especially in PvP

I can't even imagine a Breath of Life spamming, Overloading, Ambush following DK tank running around ESO.

Everybody would just pick the strongest skill from other classes without their downsides.

Instead of having one Sorcerer meta, one DK meta, one NB meta we would have one game-breaking meta that everyone would use.

Every class has a strong skill attached to some significant limitations to balance. Being able to pick and choose the strongest skills of other classes to bypass that limitation would only just make the balance thing worse.

Unless of course class skills were regulated and defined by attribute allocation.
So you could use wings ...but couldnt reflect much more than a tomatoe.
You could streak.....a couple of paces.
    You could cloak....for a fraction of a second.....once a minute
You could jesus beam....and light up the world...but only really tickle people and make them laugh.

There was a reaosn many years ago where attributes allocation = skill isolation and selection
and class was simply a reference to a specific attribute distribution.

This is certainly not anything traditional and it would not change anything. The best build would still be one certain combination of skills.

Really pointless for Zos to even consider implementing anything like this.

    No
attempting to balance classes with them as pre-set packages of actives and passives is tough enough.
Adding in a "steal the best from one other class" doesn't add diversity it just changes the "top setup" to accomodate stealing the best from one other class.
