Questions about Maelstrom Arena

Galenus_of_Pergamon
What gear and/or weapons does it drop? Are the drops after each round or only after completion of the entire arena?

Does anyone have a link to a written article describing the mechanics for each round?

Deltia's videos are good, but his arena videos cover too much content in too short of a time, so I'd have rewind over and over.

What's the best general build archetype to complete the arena for sake of easiness? Will a PvE High Elf Sorcerer do well? What about a PVP Argonian Templar Healer or a PvE Breton Templar Healer with a full DPS bar and a full healing bar?

Anything else I should be thinking of? Like best weapon and armor trait while making my run? I have never completed the arena. I have only made to the round where the troll destroys the ice island and then I freeze to death in the frigid waters.

At the end of each stage you can get hunt, succession, permafrost, or glory set pieces. Maelstrom weapons won't drop until the final chest when you complete the arena. If you look under player guides, there is a gigantic write up on anything you want to know about the arena. Magsorc or magblade have generally been the "easiest" to complete the arena with, templars tend to have sustain issues making it a bit harder.

Best bet is to use whatever class you're most comfortable with and just keep hacking away at it. Figure out what kills you every time and find a way to overcome it. Trolls in the frozen rink can be interrupted via bash/crushing shock, or any other interrupt method to keep you from losing your platform. As long as you can put out some good damage and keep healing coming in, it's just a matter of mechanics and target prioritization.

P.S. Orsinium anniversary event starts Nov 7th, and you can get double vMA weapon drops from the final chest, so get to work!!! With some practice, you'll get there!
