Does anyone know of any missable of achievements in the game? I'm an achievement addict and it would suck to miss out on any.

Festival achieves are "missable". Kinda, they may open the same achieves up the next year.

I've already completed those achievements, so I don't need to worry about them, but thanks for letting me know anyway!

Nobody said that you have to be skilled or good at the game to get the title. Nevertheless it is hard to get because you have to spend a lot of time playing to farm more AP then everbody else.

    erm... sorry, missable?

you have a journal that lists them.

A missable achievement is an achievement that becomes locked if you do a certain thing or if you are past a certain point.

For example, imagine if there was a certain achievement that could only be obtained by doing something optional inside a certain instance, but the instance became locked once you progress on the quest related to that area.

ESO doesn't have such achievements, unless the festival ones do not return on the next year (we don't know if they will).

Emperor is not missable, it is just hard to get. You can't forever lock a character from getting it.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I don't give squat for achievements. But I agree with you. One good example for this is I used to play Battlefield 1942 with a clan. It was a great time. No achievements, no unlocks. People did their role and had fun for years.

Later we went on to Battlefield 2142 (we skipped 2 for the most part). That game was great imho but most of the clanmembers just played for the unlocks. One even stated: I finished the game, I'm done. I got all unlocks g'bye.

And sadly this is the case with many games nowadays. Unlocks, rewards and achievements is what keeps people playing.

The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Sadly I know of one achievement which is missable, or at least used to be.

The one achievement I know IS missable is "Hero of Bleakrock" - this requires you to find and do all the quest's for the citizens of Bleackrock. If you fail to do all their quest's you will not get this achievement, and can NOT go back to get it at a later point of time.

This achievement is missable as you do not have to get all the citizens to safety to continue the Ebonheart Pact story line - this is because you can choose to continue the main storyline and escape Bleakrock without finding everyone, making the achievement impossible to finish.

Unless this has changed with One Tamriel though - since the last time I did this was around 6-9 months ago, so it's possible it's been changed. If it hasn't... and you don't want to miss an achievement, make sure you do ALL side-quest's on Bleakrock prior to leaving.

I am perfectly fine with playing games, even if they don't have achievements, but when they do then I like to get as many as I can. My largest game collection is on the PS2 which doesn't have achievements (trophies) in the typical sense of the word. You may not collect achievements, but I don't know why you act like it's a bad thing that others do. Achievements are just another thing that you can work towards in a game and I don't think that's a bad thing.

    Actually, yes.

How do you miss it? Is there a quest in some area that makes all fishing spots of a certain water type inaccessible?

I am close to certain that none of them are "missable", because ZOS Devs love us and know we hate that kind of grossness. With that said, some of them are incredibly difficult to get, notably anything requiring a group to complete. Good luck in your quest!

Lore books with eidetic memory you can miss some though.

As for achievements... i think ZOS actually did really well, i know some other MMO's that still have achievements based on content that no longer even exists as well as "play during the first anniversary" then "play during the second" etc specifically.

Awesome to know that it's possible to go back and finish the achievement now. I remember missing the achievement a year ago on a character and couldn't find any npc when I went back. Checked forums and everything I could find indicated that this was the way it was...

Glad to hear it's either been fixed, or I (and others at the time) were incorrect. Obviously anyone who explores everywhere and does every quest they can find (like the OP suggests they do) wouldn't have missed this achievement anyways.

The only missable things I know of are:
    * 1 lire book you get in a fighters guild quest

    * Road to moonmot quest (if you abandon it after leaving the temple in Rawl'kha you can't retake it, however you can still get all the reaper's marsh achievments so it doesn't matter even though it can be frustrating for completionists) (I know this because I abandoned it in hope of being allowed back in, that wasn't the case)

But there are no achievments as far as I know.

You still get it. I created a char to reserve a name I want for a future alt and skipped the tutorial and I still got it.

These achievements are not missable. You can find them anytime as long as you look for them where they spawn. Missable achievements are the ones that you will never be able to complete after a certain point in the game.
