Where Have the Game Masters Gone?

This could be true. One time a long time ago, I was duking it out in Cyrodiil with a deviant amongst the great ranks of the sacred COVENANT in zone chat. Within minutes after logging off I had an email from ZOS that they were putting me in jail for three days. I would assume that because of the timing someone from ZOS was in game at that moment.

I don't get it. Does ZOS not realize that 85% of the time Scipio is simply defending himself and battling back in chat!?

Even if you don't know what you're doing and are a complete jackass, you are unlikely to meet one. Someone likened them to unicorns, but that is wrong. We could actually see a unicorn in the game at some point.

There are support/GMs, they do come in-game to chat, but I haven't seen one visible in the world since just after beta.

Legally, you can't just hire players to do community work, and especially can't do unpaid labor; even internships have tax and legal requirements.

Practically, it's suicidal to let players police other players. Look up the Stanford Prison Experiment.
