maelstrom arena load

yesterday i started a maelstrom arena run, but after a few hours i got tired and decided to continue today. so, i was very careful to log out only after the completion of a stage. today, i started the game, normally, on my character menu it was correctly mentioned that i was on maelstrom arena, but when my game started i found my character ported out of maelstrom arena. now i'm confused and i'm not quite sure how to return to the point i left yesterday. how do i load my maelstrom arena point?

Just head back to maelstrom again, make sure on group you are on veteran, then go back in, the save progress will be saved but you will be back to round 1 of whatever stage you are on.

The game will always boot you out of maelstrom to back to where you last were.

"on group"? i started it alone. isn't it solo only?

Yes its solo but by checking group to see that you are on vet or normal, determines which version of maelstrom you run, which may be a bug, as one time I was doing a run on VmA and thought hmmmm it seems so easy I could do it blindfolded, it was set on normal, so checked group and it was on normal, so went vet and a hour or so later, VmA cleared again for the millionth time without a weapon I wanted:}
