Partical effects

Hello all, I am having a very difficult time in group dungeons seeing the red aoe spots on more complicated boss fights. There are so many over the top flashy spell effects that cover my entire screen that at most times I cannot see my own character nevermind the ground. I have turned the max effects down as lowest it can go, turned the gfx to minimum but still its a fireworks show right in front of my face that for me makes playing frustrating. How can I turn the partical effects size down or eliminate partical effects from group members off?

I don't think you can remove the effects. Are you playing in First or Third Person? If Third, pull back on the camera as much as possible. If you play in First, then start doing combat in third person.

If your more a DPS, you could go with a more Ranged Attack/Build and get back from the fight somewhat. Most of the time the Red will not get to you, and it's easier to see it coming if your away from the core of the fight. If your a Healer, you should not be that close. If your a Tank, you have to be that close, but you can gear up and survive most Red out there.

If your Melee DPS, then you can use the get in, get your attacks in, then move away type of tactics. Then you could see more of the ground.

Reducing graphics should reduce the information in total. However, you'll still see effects from most things. Since we do not have UI like what is more common in MMOs, what your seeing is essentially by design as the Devs have stated they want us to get our information from the environment.

remove the grass, u cant see the red because its under the grass and she makes it very hard to see it

Thanks guys I am playing in third person melee dps and grass is off. I just find it overwhelming that my other group members skills totally cover the boss 95% of the time. I mean I can almost never see the boss charging for a heavy attack because they are covered in flashy lights. Is there a mod to remove group members partical effects. My own I can handle.
