Maintenance for the week of April 6:
• PC/Mac: No maintenance – April 6

Game is pretty boring now.

Can't PVP because of lag, can't duel because of proc sets, can't play the vanilla quests because I've played all of the content 100% and remember it better than I Remember skyrim/oblivion quests at this point.

I haven't completed my daily pledges on my only/main toon for a while now. It seems i only log on to play on my sorc sometimes and to maintain my guild and buy a trader each week.

I'm not the type of person to get into grinding, I've never been this way. In MMOs like WoW I've always just completed quests, which in return gave you useful items. Back then I might "grind" a bit, but in this game it's so repetitive and unappealing I just can't do it. I can't do VMA anymore because it's boring and not worth the effort. Can't grind for sets because they're all uninteresting or take too long to get the right specifications.

So in other words, RNG has completely killed the game for me. Just want to throw that out there. I've done all of the content besides IC in this game, can't force my self to play it anymore. I've lost so much interest in this game since 1T. I thought I would like it more since it's open faction, but that doesn't seem to have done anything.

The only way I'd get into ESO again if there was more vanilla end game quests that when completed give you special items. I want to play content, not grind through repetitive quests for the sake of RNG. Just not my cup of tea, and I'm sure anyone else who feels the same way has long been gone from this game. The RNG factor has overthrown every fun aspect of an MMO in this one. Please nerf it.

Poor bugger, I feel for ya. Sounds like youve spent a ton of money on the game which would make it hard to let go. You should find a better guild with a sense of purpose buddy, or move on to another game. What's the point playing if it ain't fun.

Problem is with this game, is its too addicting to let go... until I find another game to fill that emptiness ESO will have to do.

I am getting ready to move out of state, and I have not been playing the past few days, I have to say I have not missed the game at all, I do miss hanging with my friends and doing things with the guild, but I have not had any thoughts like wow I need to log in and do X or Y, that is a pretty big deal to me, I have been here since early early beta , and a huge fan of the game, I understand where the OP is coming from, I think the direction of the game for some of us is losing it's appeal. The proctards are turning pvp into a big joke, if anything can be exploited it sure will be in this game, or over used to the point it is laughable.

My rng just sucks, everything I get level 160 is almost always training or prosperous, in fact 90% of the people that do the dungeon with me are getting the same, the rng is broken in this game there is no doubt about it, and it kills the fun and saps my mojo to keep doing anything.

Maybe after I have had a couple a weeks away from the game I will be back or maybe I will wait and see what they do with housing.

Welcome to the club man! After many hundreds of USD and 8 max level toons with 4 other lowbies. I found since DB DLC I was going thru the same pain you are going thru now. After the launch of 1T's PTS phases I knew it was choice time. Deal with the new by design highly unfair and skill-less based content and playstyles ZOS continues to push, or do something else. I too came to these forums looking to rally some like minded people behind "My cause to bring back skill to ESO" the community and the devs wanted no part of it. I got pretty frustrated to the point it was unhealthy.

Now It's 2 days away from the last time I had ESO installed on my PC. I now spend my time and money on other games that I find competitively skill-based or just causally fun or a bit of both. I just now surfs the ESO forums to see "If" ZOS wants to put the game back on the skill-based path again. It seems that the Devs. and the Community of ESO are very very happy with a unfair game of RNG to win(Roll dice to see who wins) style of play. Not what I'm currently looking for and by the looks of it. It's not what you are looking for either. As many have said to me in the past and was right, I'll say to you now. Maybe ESO is just nolonger for at least the near foreseeable future, your game anymore. You should explore others, who knows you may find the one for you.

Who knows maybe after a year or so ZOS will figure out that they was wrong. In the fact they turned one of the few skill-based MMOs on the market into a (RNG-based D&D) based game, where being skilled only means how well you grind overpowered gear sets that allows you to beat other players by just pressing one button while being super tanky at the same time.

After I finished Cadwell's gold/silver, all DLC quests and cleared all map. I felt the same  I run dungeons for the xp since I am not yet cp561 but I understand how you feel.

I created an alt because I wanted to experience the whole pve content again, since the very 1st time I played I was a bit lost and I leveled up in a weird way. Now I am enjoying the second toon way better.

When I get bored of ESO, which is not often to be honest  , I simply swap games. I got the Skyrim remastered now for free and Im giving it another try (like my 10th lol). When there is maintenance here I usually play Oblivion. Other than that, I also play other games when I don't feel like playing in the elder scrolls world. And, sadly, most of the time I'm busy dealing with real life

My point is, ESO is a great game but it is normal to get bored after playing soooo many hours. Give other games a chance or try a new hobby  and when you get tired of that come back to ESO

i think the dungeons get boring because they disengage our creative thinking and demand us to react to the mob doing A by hitting button X. And they heavily emphasize the mob doing A.

They wrote a story. A script. We are actors performing the lines and actions they authored, or we don't get the key.

There are dungeon mechanics. We didn't follow them, so they added health and one-shots to force us to follow their script.

They wrote a movie. Everyone is supposed to do things according to their movie script. And that's boring for the actors once the script has been figured out. Look at white gold tower - hard, until you get the hang of the script, at which point people start farming it in pairs and complaining about not being challenged.

Dynamism needs to be injected. That guy vaoh managed to solo vet white gold tower on hard mode because the script for the bosses is always the same. He figured out the programming of the planar inhibitor down to the timeline of at X number of seconds the inhibitor will do A, at Y number of seconds the inhibitor will do B, at Z number of seconds such and such will start and continue for C number of seconds, and so on.

They designed a maze. A maze is fun the first few times when it's new and unknown, but a static maze is able to be memorized and becomes a boring chore.

The game needs a dynamism injection.
