Description: "When you deal Flame or Shock Damage, you have a 10% chance to summon a meteor shower of the damage type that deals 1300 Damage to all enemies within 4 meteres every 1 seconds for 5 seconds. Each effect can occur once every 8 seconds."

Question: The basic attacks from sorcerer summon pets Familiar and Twilight do shock damage. Do those basic attacks have a chance to proc the monster helm?

    I don't think it does. You don't get a damage stat appear when they attack so it's not you dealing it.

    might be.because i noticed it can proc for some reason when you take flame or shock dmg aswell so why not?

    You do get an outgoing damage event. I think the twilight's called "zap".

    This set is so weak, that it is basically BiS for Sorc-DPS in PvE. It does usually around 3k...5k DPS for me in ST-fights :)

    Ilambris, currently one of the most annoying sets when used by other players - the covering sight animation makes me dizzy :p .

    I think it is because each event seems to be treated seperately. So you can proc both the firestorm and the lightingstorm at the same time.

    Also it is a magicka monster set, so of course it seems weak for a monster set! Sorry couldnt resist the salt.

    If you really want to see a light show, equip dual swords with a flame enchant on one and a shock enchant on the other, and spam light attack. It basically never stops procing.

    You also get 1k+ Magicka as 1pc-bonus and belive me...that monsterset is really strong and will do ~10%+ of your DPS bc of those proccs. 300 Spelldmg doesn't come close to this.

    but anyway...what are you using to get 1k magicka + 300 spelldmg and regen in a 2pc set???

    It's 3 piece actually- elegant head, shoulders and necklace with spell damage enchantment until I can acquire matching spell damage rings. Even after I get proper jewelry, I still think that a 2 piece head & shoulder set with spell damage seems like a better setup as it's a constant boost to all spells, not just a 10% chance to do a bit more damage in the moment.

    it's not. This 2pc-Set provides you with ~9...12% DPS-Increase whereas a single spelldmg bonus will only increase your DPS by a bit more than 2%.

    See now that seems worth it but I prefer the old fashioned staff for my sorc.

    Good to know thanks. I'm always learning how to better equip myself for my play style, must've went through 5 sets with 1 character and still haven't found the best fit.

    We had two sorcs and myself (sorc-tank) running it in vets yesterday and the bosses died so quick we thought we were runnning on Normal. Like melted. Even the twins with 5m health each. The set is nuts since every "hit" has a chance to proc it, which includes aoe splash from lighting form, liquid lightning, whatever. I was defensively capped with Chudan, but I swapped it out for Illambdris (spelling?) and just run lightning form for the major buff to hit cap. Absolutely nuts. Over 3K spellpower with rattlecage (not using crit surge, slot matriarch instead) and enchants too. So much fun.

    One of the best sets they've done. If the areas of effect was any larger it would be utterly gamebreaking.

    Oh, and Grothar on a NB is also quite absurd for PVE or PVP mobs.

    I really don't get you guys. Ilambris is the best monster set for Magicka Sorcs. Between crushing shocks, wall of elements and liquid lightning, the fire and lightning storms proc all the time every 3 or 4 seconds. In PVE it is amazing. True, the radius isn't that great but Mobs are stupid and will not leave the area of effect. My DPS has gone a lot higher. Not to mention that you can cast Ice Comet or the destro ultimate on top of it. It's just great!

    Wow. I love so many think this set is garbage. Maybe it won't get the nerf hammer like another 1T undaunted set will likely get.
