Red mountain set

In the light of elder procs online i was thinking about being a total Richard in pvp and using this+viper+velidreth.
Is the set worth it for stamblade and does it proc only with crit rush, executioner etc. and not with light attack with bows or weapons not to mention ambush or suprise attack?
This set is easier for me to farm than say widowmaker cause i play a lot alone.

It doesn't proc with ambush or SA but every weapon DoT procs it. I think light and heavy attacks proc it too but don't hold me on that.

Red Mountain need many attacks per second to shine. I love the set and use it in vMSA on my main, but for PvP I find it pretty bad. I've had whole duels where it wouldnt proc at all.

Yeah I love it in PVE, but in PVP any viperblade will take a dump all over your face.

RM actually has better burst damage than Viper, if you build for it.

Equip Way Of Fire + RM. Slot Flurry and enjoy a 40% chance of RM and 80%ish for Way Of Fire, with a single flurry.

If you run RM and expect to be using anything else than Flurry, you will fail miserably though.

Hmm maybe i'll stick with viper+velidreth when ganking and viper+tremorscale+black rose when in a group.
But maybe give red mountain a shot in pve with my stam sorc.

Of course I run flurry, otherwise I'd be using viper

I haven't combined them, but I do run either RM or VIper on two different characters. I probably will combine the sets though sooner or later. It's just a matter of sorting out the jewelery and getting all divines.

In PvE I like both sets. In PvP it just depends on how long it takes them to proc. An early proc and less experienced opponents will panic and do defensive and that gives you an edge. With good PvP opponents they know how to hang in there and it only gives you a small edge.

I find that VIper procs way more often in PvE than RM - with an AOE, FTC shows it on multiple targets in the same second. When I do RM it doesn't come up as much in my FTC using the same skills and rotations.

Also even though RM doesn't specify "meelee attacks", it doesn't seem to proc off a bow or range as far as I know.

About flurry in PvP - I personally use flurry in my PvE build and now that surprise dueling is a thing in 1T it is kind of a "finisher" for me. It's real cheap and fast. Sure there are better things to put on a bar for PvP but I'm not going to redo my toolbar every time someone challenges me to a duel.

RM procs of everything weapon related, ranged or close, dot or direct dmg.

hey man, im using viper + red mountain aswell, on alevel 11 nightblade in blackwaterblade (neckbeard to the max), and it really works well, im using weapon skills, dual wield, DoTs to proc the sets, there is an other set i wanna try, its that poison set from hel ra, poison serpet set.:

(2 items) Adds 967 Max Stamina

(3 items) Adds 129 Weapon Damage

(4 items) Adds 967 Max Stamina

(3 items) When you deal damage with a Light or Heavy Attack against an enemy who has a Poison Damage ability on them, you have a 25% chance to deal an additional 6800 Poison Damage.

    looks interesting for bow users.

I like it as a pvp set, it procs of light/heavy weapon attacks, poison inject ticks and endless hail/arrow barrage ticks. My only gripe is that it doesn't proc off axe bleed ticks but hey, can't have it all.

fun fact, it works with destruction staff as well. Super fun to use on a Mag Sorc when defending a keep. Procs often by force puls since it's 3 hits at once combined with heavy attack..

I run it on jewelery legs and staff to not loose to many stats from light armor passives. Gives 3k Stam instead of magicka which does help with cc breaking. Makes it ok to use bistat food in Pvp as a sorc, health/mana.

Seeing as its proc is fire damage it should scale of magicka and spell damage right?

If you plan to use RM seriously in PvP, better use DW flurry as your main way to proc it. But then, you either lose 2h and all its benefits or bow... Or life, if proc fails, lol.

Two light attacks to proc Kena.

Blood Craze to set off its DoT.

    Flurry.

By then Red Mountain will have hit, and crits for well over the advertised 8000.

Proc sets only scale off passives and CP.

I was wondering if it did or not. Technically axe bleed is physical damage from a weapon, so not sure why it wouldn't. Good to know, though, so thanks.
