Have to agree, if housing is the only update and that too in a DLC, then it would be very lame, Housing Should come as a base game patch/update. DLC content should be limited to story line content that unlocks new areas.
But then then again who am I kidding, we have our Devs trying to push in Crown Crates.
It still doesn't matter if it is provided as DLC either, as most of the hardcore players are ESO+, but just a thought I wanted to get off my chest.
I think they should nerf the house. Too big and strong. Why buff a house mate?

Its basically about making the houses more useful, I should have specified in the beginning that the Buffs I am looking for are more PvE oriented for quicker progress.
I am a fan of TES series and sleeping in an owned bed always gave a buff in Skyrim and Oblivion, I am looking for something similar in ESO if it ever gets implemented.

@I_killed_Vivec Nice one,
And yes in a way you are not far from the truth, what is called a simple house is really shed, being a bosmer, they will start me out with a hollow tree
Starter homes by race.
Altmer - a Maomer prison.
Bosmer - a green market stall
Khajiit - inside eye of the storm
Breton - random grave, Bretons love graves
Orsimer - under a rock
Redguard - in a tight 2x2 room with a Tu'whacca priest
Dunmer - 1x1x1 slave cage in Black Marsh
Saxhleel - anywhere where spines cannot simply be erected
Nord - in a mead keg
Imperial - how about ICP
Hope there is more than housing. A new zone with trials and dungeons like craglon would be nice. The dlcs this year have just brought one ugly trial, 2 dungeons with no good gear like wgt and icp and 2 zones with nice, but short story and nasty daily grind for making it. One tamriel is a nice thing for gear, but in real its no content just a nother gring for gear that destroys the fun in pvp. And there was no balance update. In the end they brought nothing in more than one year.

I expect housing to be the most useless Update in any MMORPG ever. We're still to see what else will be coming with it though.
I love housing and I love it to be "in the world" and not an instance that I port to. At least have that illusion, hopefully there won't be tons of strangers standing in front of my door.
Other than that I would love to see a quest line, some sort of story, as well.

They need to release a massive expansion, 4-5 dungeons 2-3 new trials a large new zone.
