Where to trade, sell, buy motifs? Forum threads?

Is there a place to post requesting trading? I am looking to buy the Outlaw Greatswords Motif and the Thieves Guild Bow Motif. Have no found it in my small guilds and figured posting online might be better lol.

The trading system they have in this game is not good. I have played many MMO games and this one has the worst player trade system I have encountered. I was thinking maybe there is a site where I can post what I am wanting to buy and trade that way?

The game is pointing towards and treasure finders keepers focus.

It's different than some other MMO types but I'm careful not to say bad or worse as the game creates a real meaningful reason to belong to guilds and play with others where loot can be shared, or even sold.

Even the trader system creates a realistic way so that the game doesn't become a buy up all this and sale for higher prices.

It's different but when some of us all get away from trying to make the most money off others and perhaps sale and trade within networks, we get a different gameplay experience.

There are other games that have a different philosophy. Maybe those are better suited for you.
Keep in mind TES games only had sales and trading amongst NPCs cause it was single player, so the bind on equip and no global auction house makes sense when you look at it that way.

The middle ground or compromises are the COD, guild traders, guild stores and group sharing or ppl who stand in zones advertising.
There are social pages for trading tho....one notable page is Facebook group where ppl trade using images from in-game and do a lot of listing and selling

You can buy from other guild traders.

Check the kiosks. Go to the main cities like mournhold, rawl'kha, windhelm, and visit the traders. There are kiosks in towns and along the roads. The Hollow City in Coldharbour. Outside Orisinium in Wrothgar and Belkarth in Craglorn. It can be a pain to visit all of them when you're looking for a specific item, but if you're on pc there are addons that keep search terms from one trader to the next, and that can help.

Yeah enjoy hours of enjoyment searching every guild trader, will only take you 4 hours or so. Makes the game exciting and realistic apparently!

I do enjoy. I found a nice stack of Dragonthorn other day 50% below the average MM price other day! I love this hunt for the best price thing, its really immersive.

Also, trade guilds give a reason to people to guild up other than pve, pvp and rp reasons.

You can also ask in zone chat or shout in busy trader spots that you're looking to buy that motif. I don't leave my chat window on but I sometimes open it when waiting on a boss or dolmen...the other night I gave a random person a couple of free set pieces that he was looking for.

Well until there's a way to find and buy anything in real life from one website...yep it's very realistic cause you have to buy somethings online, some things in person, and even travel to different areas or countries and use other currencies.

Seems pretty accurate gold, ap, tel var , or trading via traders, players or getting it yourself from playing

I got full sets of xivkyn, outlaw, and assassins by doing the merchant round over the space of several days to find them all. Not the hardest thing I've done, or the most boring, to be truthful. Picked up a lot of mats and several quests along the way.

SWG had the localized economy and I think thats what they were trying to emulate. But SWG had the crafting system and sandbox elements to support it. Plus player housing and owning your own shop, independently of guilds. Im fine with not having a central auction house, but some better implementation would help. Part of the elder game is meant to be the economy, not just raiding/pvp. But the economy in this game is so fractured and inaccessible it's just not fun or interesting.

I think when player housing comes, players should be able to at least set up searchable vendors in their homes, like EQ2, even if you cant buy it straight from the AH.
