Witches Festival Experience Buff After Event Ended

I refreshed the Withces Festival experience buff on all my characters before the even was over and my characters' status screens still list the 100% buff. Does this mean I still get the extra experience buffs even if the event is over. Does anybody know this?

Are you on pc? The festival was extended a week for pc/mac due to a glitch.

Yes. If it's the same mechanic as the cake XP buff, you will get the extra XP until that buff runs out, even if the festival is over.

I would imagine the buff remains active until it runs out. During the anniversary event I cycled through all my characters and ate cake to get an extra two hours even after the event ended. With the cake though, you could eat it any time to refresh the timer. Not so with the brew. You can only drink the brew after the previous buff has run out.

If you cancel the buff, you can drink the brew again immediately.

I did not know that. How do you cancel the buff?

Scroll down to the buff on the character window and right-click it, it should cancel.

On PC, right-click on it in Active Effects. On console, highlight the buff in Active Effects and it should appear as a context option.

I had a Dragonknight that still had a cake buff several months after that ended. Made the most of that by running a grind.
