Current restrictions punishes those who wish to min/max their character and instead of wearing stylish gear that you have learned via playing the game from motifs, you now have the head of some oversized boss monster that does not match with the rest of their gear. you can fix the problem by wearing a costume over the horrid armor but that forces you to mostly spend crowns to get a decent costume and even if you do get said costume, you are funneled into looking like every other person who is wearing the costume.

Can we have more customizations over our characters appearance and implement some wardrobe system to change the appearance of some items to others. We have costumes to hide our hideous gear, but sad to see motifs learned not being able to be used because you are wearing a bis piece of gear is a dropped set and not crafted.

It would be really cool to be able to convert any item to any style that your character knows. Would require a special item and to be level 50 in that crafting profession.

I think it would be awesome to have effects on our characters like the mages in Eyevea where they can float above the ground and the purple eye effect the Blackcaster mages have. Also to have the visuals of your weapon enchantment effect.

I posted a suggestion two years ago, well before we had all these motifs...

It would be nice if we could have a new tab on the crafting stations to modify existing gear to a new style. Would require the style material.

But taking it a step further, even if it requires some special materials on top of the style materials, it would be a step in the right direction. At least 20 motifs have been released in the last handful of updates, but the amount of effort it takes to make new gear just for a new style is too much work.

The easy way out would just have something like converting to imperial style when you click an item. But maybe it requires you to be in a specific zone and know the motif. With all of Tamriel open, this is now easy to do at any time.

It does get old real quick when you see the exact same armor set and helm/shoulder set on every other player you come across. I feel as if I'm one of the last players who actually crafts their own gear in order to incorporate style into their set bonuses. Do I suffer in PvP because of it? Of course, but at least I look good when I take a set proc to the face.

the relevancy of this topic is important, while I feel zos will implement this some time in the future, I feel it will be funneled into the crown store
