Help with a sorc build?

Currently looking for new build ideas, I have lich/spinner/ willpower at the moment with 45k magicka so my shields are pretty strong, problem is ever since this new update it's like stamina users are literally breaking my shields like they're glass, I used to be able to tank small groups but now a single stam user can do crazy damage in just 2 seconds and bye bye shields. What builds should I try out?

Add Defensive Rune (Rune Prison, Dark Magic) to your build:

Also you may want to check your armor traits... during PvP, Impenetable might be a good idea, since stamina builds with high critical chance can deplete your Ward/Health quickly.

You sure you have good enough shields? Have you stacked enough into Bastion? I used to run with 45k magicka and my wards were more than decent. Now I run with around 50k and I get 12k tooltip in Cyro Hardened Ward (basically a 16k shield). So that paired with Dampen Magic equals to around 30k shields for around 4.5 seconds. If someone takes those down THAT quick means that the procs all fired off and he's dropped an ultimate or you have 4 people beating on you. 45k Magicka is enough for strong shields if you have enough in Bastion (60-80 points is perfect), most people will tell you not to stack in it and stack into Hardy, but IMO that's what makes you less tanky.

You could slot defensive rune, but the only use I see in this skill is during duels if you have more than 2 people beating on you, its really not that useful, apart from getting a Jesus Beam off you.

As @IzakiBrotheSs has said, 45k should be plenty for shield strength. I'm at 40k and manage well enough, I'm also using lich and spinners, but I'm using infernal guardian not willpower, are you using 3pc willpower? Cause that would lead me to believe you're either using DW or SnB on one of the bars?

What Abilitys are you using?

Yea I have 5 piece spinner cause I'm using dual wield, and 5 lich, 3 willpower.
I have mainly infused, 2 divines. (I wanted a huge magicka pool for stronger shields)
my first bar: mages wrath, velicious curse, frags, structured entropy, and inner light, ultimate ice comet
Bar 2: inner light, all 3 wards hardened, dampen, healing, streak and overload.

If You want a truely huge magicka pool, you should be also using the Mage mundus. Also you still haven't said anything about Bastion. You have stacked all your shields on the bar with less max magicka, which contradicts your goal....

60-80cp is perfect and I wouldn't call that stacking. 100cp in bastion I would call stacking and that's a bad idea just because it's a bad idea to put 100cp into anything with the amount we have and the diminishing returns. It's logical to put whatever you don't put in bastion into hardy etc.

I don't know how you sustain with 50k magicka lol. I could hit that by wearing my vma gear and taking the mage mundus but I'd have about 900 mag regen and no cost reduction. That would be fine until a few people decided to focus me, which happens enough.

i like rune prision, but i still have problems staying alive even using it

it is a 3x proc party and magicka sorcerers were not invited
