Two Gold masks & DOH

I guess I've opened about 160/170 Skulls, not been farming them but Maelstorm gives plenty. Had the Gold Recipe once and today from two back to back Skulls got the Gold Mask TWICE. Happy days!!

Heard they were going for 90k (Xbox EU) started linking them into Text Chat as people do, and accidently used one (its default option after pressing Yellow)

Huge DOH moment.

Are they really worth 90K?????

They're worth whatever people will pay for them... They are a very rare drop though. I'd estimate I've opened about 400 plunder skulls, give or take, since the festival started, and I've had exactly 2 masks drop. Luckily for me (because I was interested in getting them for myself), it was one of each rather than the same one twice.

I'd guess that if anything the price people are willing to pay for them will go up. As of right now people who want them still have time to try to farm them. After the Witches Festival ends, that won't be possible, and the supply of them will only drop over time. Given how rare the drop is, I'd strongly suspect that a large number of people who are interested in them won't get them before the festival ends, and then there will be people who missed the festival entirely who want them.

I've opened about 500 skulls and had 7 masks. They may not be worth 90k atm, but their price will rise

I've found two myself, don't know how many skulls I've opened (has to 100 or more). I used one and it looks really cool!

I am planning to sell the other one, but may wait until the event is over as prices could go up at that point.

On PC NA, they were selling for about 50K a couple weeks ago, close to 40K now. I think 90K is a stretch, but I'm sure it varies between servers.

Cool thanks guys, I'm gutted I used one of mine, really need the Gold over a mask!! DOH. Unreal that I got two the same back to back.

I'll hang onto other and float it in a few months as a punt

I wonder why this event's Gold Recipe for max Magicka/Health has so much lower stats than a comparable CP150 blue recipe from base game? 2 hours duration for gold is nothing if I can craft for free hundreds of blue food lasting 1 hour.
Probably the reason why Gold Recipe's price, once on a level of 15-20k gold, now dropped to give away or scrap item...

Mask is cool with some armors. Actually costs about 25k on PC EU.
When you stand still with your mask you have a minor chance you will be whispered by someone nearby with "hey m8 your mask looks sick"... than you can be proud you had it on yourself in a right time

25K? On Xbox it's selling for 60K or more...will probably go for 500K-1 mil months from now when they're all gone.

To each their own but I think my vamps face looks more menacing then the mask-

60k @Vigarr have you seen them actually sell for that? I've only been offered 20k in chat.

That said I'm hoping you are right on the 500k in a few months, would set me up! Guess ill have to take a punt on a trader then. Still gutted about the one I used tho, and support won't help

my own dumb fault. Not even tried it on yet in case they would reverse it.

they are selling at 20k atm on na pc, and we still got one more week of festival. And with the huge amount of offer we got currently I doubt they will ever cost much more. maybe 100k in 6 months? Still might be worth to save a couple, who knows.

I gave a spare one I had away for free, told them I really hope I don't see them going for 1m in 6 months time lol.

Then someone offered a mask for 5k in zone chat when I was in mournehold, kind of figured it was a wind up so wasn't going to waste time trying to find them for a face to face trade so asked them to cod me, I was very pleasantly surprised when I got it in the mail.

I've been very lucky with the masks, I got 4 in around 150 skulls. I used the first one, sold the second for 90k around mid-festival and the last 2 are in guild store at 200k. They're not selling right now, but they should in the following month.

You gotta dye it. In the original colors they are lame. I have the scarecrow one dyed with black and red underneath giving it the look of raw flesh with burnt flesh over top. Very undead looking, which I think is awesome, but I'm probably a little morbid.

I sold mine during the first week of the festival for 75k ps4 na, got 1 more in a guild trader for 200k just to store it but will sell for more later in the year

Yeah give it some time, prices are crazy on Xbox and it's just a matter of time before these masks disappear from the market, making them much more valuable. I'm tempted to buy a couple now just to bank them for a later date.

Right now on PC I only see them go for around 25-35k
