I invited someone into my guild today,

my log then showed, he joined twice same moment. I then checked guild roster and he has been listed twice as member as well and also took both spots seemingly. I also asked other members to check, wether they see it same way, so it is. I tried to kick both out of the guild then (to reinvite, to fix that problem), but I only could kick one of them, when i tried to kick the other one, i got an error message "You are no member of this guild."

Relogging helped, fixing that prob.

There is a delay with Guild Roster activities related to Inviting people. This usually gets sorted in a minute or two. But, I have to wait a minute or so in between inviting one person to multiple guilds. This was probably a glitch related to that lag

First thing I would try is to restart the machine, then relog into the game and see what the Guild list says. If he is not there, invite again.

Being on the list twice is probably not a big deal if that ever happens again, unless your near your 500 member limit. It would be interesting to see if both names would show the same activity (like the last time they were online)

I am more concerned about you getting the error message that you are not a member of the guild, or was that error message about the other player not being part of the guild?
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
