    @Vigarr

Actually, it is easy now with One Tamriel. You don't have to wait unlock alliances

However, to help you without the addons, try this:

    1. Look for the Lore Books at night, the blue glow gives them away from a long distance off
    2. Lore Books are always in places where you find other stuff, so campsites, picnic areas, carts on the side of the road, a place where it looks like someone stopped for a while and studied something. If it looks like some NPC was there before you, it has a good chance to have a lore book. Unless you already found it's companions, see below.
    3. There are 4 copies of every lore book in the game, other than the ones you find in the group dungeons, so it's usually easier to find at least one of the copies as others.

Using the above tips, I was amazed at how many lore books I found before I used an addon to help me find the rest.

    Also, this can help

I will say that the grind is still pretty long, it is not nearly as bad as Abah's Watch.

I could farm on average 2 Abah's Watch motifs an hour. This is 3 dailies pr. day. I have done about 36 altogether and I have 2 motif pages. It sure does not seem better than Abah's Watch.

Psst: you can do up to 15 dailies for each guild every day! You just need people to share the quests with you.

As I've got several accounts I've actually now got characters on my 2nd and 3rd accounts sitting on all 15 dailies for each guild, so I can have a character on my main account do all of them in a single day if I want to.

And what it would do? Op still would have to find the markers - those objectives aren not shared and still wait for boss to spawn. ESO is not a normal MMO because grouping is made this way, that it actually discourages players to team up.

good old morrowind had no such markers... you knew you had to question half the city to get the directions to the dwemer ruins...

    What are guild dailys?

If people even bothered to read update notes and patch notes there wouldn't be 5 people already asking about these quests in this thread.

Come on, could you at least scroll up and read the 2 posts that already explain in detail how and where to find these already?

What patch notes. Is there a link? Alternatively you could not act like a total cat hunt and answer the question.

I skipped most of the posts considering they boil down to whining about free content and how its ruining everyones lives and melting the ice caps, much like every other thread on here.

Even the Fighters Guild Levelling is pretty easy. I had to look around originally trying different locations. Before 1Tam I tried various Silver and Gold Public Dungeons with undead/daedra and it was slow (2%-3% per hour). Then I went to the Lost Village and the progress even at L9 of the Fighters Guild was visible, around 10%-15% an hour. I probably shouldn't be mentioning it though because Zos have a bad habit of nerfing things unnecessarily.

Having recently returned and playing very casual like, I have been doing the daily guild quests and I have no idea what you're complaining about. Both the Undaunted and Mage dailies take literally 5 minutes to do and are incredibly straightforward whereas the Fighter's guild daily requires you to afk for a bit between anchors.

I have done approximately ten days worth of these quests and received a few chapters. If I do manage to acquire a double I'll sell it and buy one I need. While I feel it's an ineffective way to max the respective skill lines, it's a nice little distraction which can potentially yield in some nice loot.

If you don't like the content, don't do it. Grind gold elsewhere and buy the chapters.

Well thank you for that extremely redundant and useless comment. I shall file it in the folder where I give a f**k.

Maybe OP is forced to do these quests to get the motifs that ZOS locked behind these dailies, either that or pay the exorbitant prices that people charge for the motif pages, did you think of that, dear Giles? Or were you too busy trying to come up with this parrot reply of yours?

The issue at hand is not the quests per se anyway, which some of you seem to find it hard to get your heads around. The issue is why ZOS found it necessary to add troll quest objectives to one daily quest that do not advance the quest. It's unnecessary, annoying and does not do anything to add to neither the difficulty nor the experience.

Maybe people could focus on that from here on in this thread.

These quests were designed for soloing, unlike the rest of the massive amount of group content we already have that forces me to team up with derps like yourself.

And by god, the 'MMO' argument has been used ad nauseam here, when it's plain to clear that this isn't an MMO, but an online RPG. Devs even stated so themselves, so why don't you go argue with them.

Let me reiterate. Is there any single reason for not having all of the quest markers advance your quest? Does it make the quest harder or more challenging in any single way? No, it only makes it more tedious.

    MMO definition: Massive Multi-player Online.

    Its a Massive game
    Its Multi-player
    Its Online

By your logic Dark souls 3 is an MMO

    Again with this drivel.

@ZOS_MattFiror , the director of ESO, said it pretty much as clear as it can be:
"ESO is not really a traditional MMO, so we don’t use that term much around the office – and it is this distinction that separates it from other games."

    And again:
"Again, we’re not really a traditional MMO, we are much more of a hybrid, kind of like an ‘online RPG’. The term MMO is freighted with a lot of pre-conceived notions, most of which are outdated and obsolete"

Why don't you take your outdated, obsolete and pre-concieved notions up with him, hm?

You forgot about the ridiculous +5 points in the skill line progression of the guilds, it could take years! xD

Just ask some guild mates to share their dailies with you, so you can do more than just one per day.

I stopped doing them the 2nd day, when I got the draugr chest motif i was looking for

I don't find the problems you're listing though.
Wherever I go there are always at least 3 persons farming but I never had to wait too long, I just move on with another objective and then come back (like dolmens, follow the group which is farming them and you'll always end up closing them non-stop).

The biggest issue for me is reaching those quest areas on alts, since I barely used them to quest around.
For example, today I have to go to Greenshade (where I have never been with some of my alts) for the mages guild daily: I port to Haven in Grathwood, meaning to use the boatswain to get to Greenshade... but Selandilsandelwen, or whatever her/his name is, is not there.
But the map says the contrary.

All good tips @Nestor but I just don't think I have the patience to double check every book spot using a map on my phone.

Speaking of books, why are the thieves troves the same color? I got trolled by them many times thinking it was a book.
