Why Sun's Dusk Reaper and not Frost Fall Reaper?

Hey

The Witches Festival is on the 13th of Frost Fall (October) and it did indeed start then. But the title of the achievement is Sun's Dusk Reaper which is basically November (Sun's Dusk = November).. Is this to symbolise the end of the month you have been reaping all those deaths? Still it makes more sense to be the Reaper of the whole of the Frost Fall, and not of the new month we are entering, which is Sun's Dusk!
Perhaps the combination of Dusk and Reaper sounds more cool than Fall and Reaper?

WTT Sun's Dusk Reaper with Frost Fall Reaper!

Same thing I thought when I heard the title the first time. What does it have to do with Sun's Dusk? Maybe because it ends (or was supposed to end) on November 1st, the first day of Sun's Dusk? Plus it really sounds better than Frostfall Reaper.
    May all beings have happiness
May they be free from suffering
May they find the joy that has never known suffering
May they be free from attachment and hatred

I think it is because it was going to end on November 1st too.

Although I didn't give it much thought, and now that I'm thinking about it, it doesn't make much sense.

Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.

Sun's Dusk Reaper sounds better than Frost Fall Reaper. I doubt there's much more to it.

Maybe because on the first of Sun's Dusk,we have collected so many skulls that we can truly be considered a Reaper?

    ...

Or it was an oversight/attempt to sound cooler?

Prolly just to sound cooler. Nothing intimidates quite like wearing all black robes, scarecrow mask, wielding a soul shrivel 2h axe with the title "Sun's Dusk Reaper."

    Sweet dreams...

But, you know, it's probably because we got used to it now.

What if it started as Frostfall Reaper. An icy, blue-eyed skeleton in dark robes, sneaking up behind you, only realising you are being Reaped when you feel the icy breath on your neck at the last moment of the Harvest

I like to think it's a reward that isn't focused on the macabre aspects of the festival, but rather the hope of the pre-winter harvest season. Basically a way to do a little bit for Thanksgiving while still making a cool-sounding title that has wiggle room in its literal interpretation.

The witch literally sends you to reap essence of death from delves etc :P So I would say it probably means the macabre version. But I like your interpretation as well. She is probably thankful for all the essence you collected anyway. I predict she will grow so powerful that the next trial in the game will have her as the final boss, hurling plunder skulls at your group. An enrage attack will probably turn you into a pumpkin or scarecrow spectre where you can't attack until you manage to activate synergies to save your group!

All the people using the fact it ends on november as for the name... that makes no sense either.

Say if there's a big fire that occurs in a location called silverglade, and it's really huge and bad, the worst ever, and took days to put out, but it spread over very slightly to the next area called 'the moores' they put the fires out completely in silverglade, then spent 5 minutes total putting the fire out in the moores, i guess we'd be calling it "the great big fire of the moores, that took days to put out the single fire" even though it spent a total of 5 minuts there, and 5 days in silverglade.

Also, imo Frost Fall sounds cooler... (puns)
