The ones where it says press circle and triangle at the same time to activate an effect from another players spell?

    Turn them off??

I don't think you can. Only way to know then you hit synergies and such.

Look in Gameplay Options (or somewhere in Options) and choose to turn off Tutorials* I still get the Press X for a Synergy messages.

*or I think Combat Ques (but be careful as I think one of the options turns off the tells in combat like the yellow lines when they are winding up for a heavy attack) I know I stopped these things a long time ago, but I don't remember exactly where I did it, I think it was the Tutorials.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

So basically you don't want a UI at all?

I'd suggest real life if that's what you're looking for :D

No everything else is fine its just you don't need to be a genius to know where crosshair would be so its an unnecessary annoyance imo.

I think the Synergy prompt (circle + triangle) appears primarily because there is no other way to show that it is available. Without it, there would be no way to know that a synergy was possible.

At the moment I never feel like I need whatever its doing so its annoying but when things get harder maybe I'll need them and the notification wont bother me.

The synergy button also covers a few other things like some parts in the main quest and I think Blade of Woe as well? So if you disable those you won't be able to do those too. Otherwise even if you unbind them you will still get a prompt but it will just be empty.

You can remove all UI elements if you bind a key to Remove UI com in Settings-Controls but this just removes everything so you probably don't want that.
