To all the selfish gits in Craglorn

I've been harvesting nodes in Craglorn more than usual since the drop rate doubled with OneTam and it irks me no end when I see a player try to beat me to a node.
I saw a Rubedite, a guy was closer than me so I left him to it; turned around and saw Ruby Ash, he beat me to that as well and then tried to get the rune node - which I bent down to harvest a fraction of a second before him. There was another last night doing the same thing.

Honestly, there are more than enough nodes.

So to that guy and the others I've encountered in the past week or so, I hope all your loot drops in Prosperous and Training.

ya sometimes they like follow you its really strange, If it happens to me i just start following them and doing the same thing to them, Eventually they get the point and leave me alone.

inb4 the guy who says this is an mmo and everything is fair game, but I agree as you were being polite on letting them have a node and they do not repay said kindness. This makes me in turn run ahead of them and harvest their nodes and the hypocrisy of these people is hilarious as they then ask me the why questions along with insults...

I hate those kinds of people. I play on Ps4 EU as well and I've noticed an awful lot of it happening in Craglorn but not in the other zones as much. I blame the farmers selling gold for real money.

I hunt down treasure chests on my thief. One person mailed me 10,000 gold because, even though I beat him to the chest - as he was fighting a mob nearby- I asked him if he wanted to open it. Not everyone is greedy. If your area is overwhelmed by bots or worse, there is literally all of Tamriel in which to farm materials.

PvP is not the most competitive activity in ESO. Node harvesting is. The best of the best compete in Hollow City.

Early in the life of the game I was pretty annoyed. At first I thought players were cheating. Some were faster on foot than I was on a horse. Then I had an epiphany. People were making builds for flower picking the way I do in PvP.

I'll just leave a couple hints right here.

The worst I have had is when I stood up after harvesting a node, and saw someone blasting me with their staff from about in game 20 yards away - dude, if you are so far away from a node that I don't even see you until after I harvest it, it is mine. You can't claim ownership of it from halfway across the map.

I am generally very polite around nodes and chests and if there is a close run to the finish I will generally just let the other person have it - they seem so desperate. But you can't think a node is 'yours' when someone beats you to it to the point where you are still running towards them angry and they have already harvested it.

This happened to me in Craglorn. A player raced ahead of me to a variety of nodes in an area. Did not say a thing. The nodes are going to be there another day.

I'm really new to the game and this is my very first ever MMORPG, but one thing I've noticed is that sometimes (not always) nodes re-spawn fairly quickly. I haven't been to Craglorn yet so maybe things are different there. The one thing that drives me crazy is finding a chest and have someone grab it right out from under me. I don't really care what is IN the chest. I just want to get the hang of lockpicking. Sorry if I sound like a total newbie.

They are bots they trying to take every nod around mindlessly i always see them even when i kneeled down they trying to grab the nod then i ask them some questions if they dont answer i report them.

I made a 'thief build,' which I posted in another thread.
Vamp 9 + Skooma Smuggler + Jailbreaker + junk potions = avoid most mobs and travel as fast as a horse. With CP into plentiful harvest, master gatherer, and treasure hunter, One Tamriel has made farming everything a breeze. A fast breeze.

Something I try to keep in mind is that our individual game clients are rarely in sync when we are in motion. There may be times when someone appears to be behind you in your client while in their client you are behind them.

If the game was full open world pvp you two could really fight over it and the winner gets it, simples. But something tells me the people who complain about this would not like that option. So you really dont get to have it both ways. Casual players want to play casual MMOs with lots of rules to protect them. So in turn those rules allow players to pretty much do what they like with no consequences. There is no downside really to not being a nice guy in mmos anymore, they're 95% solo. Other players dont need you for anything. The economy is a joke so blacklisting players does nothing either. If you really want personal accountability then play old school hardcore mmos with open pvp and/or heightened interdependecy, and support them. If you want to play casual games like eso your options are ineffectual complaints, or just learn to deal with it.

If you see me front of the nod kneeled down and still run toward to nod and wait for me to get nod that means you are a bot after that i start asking questions

Craglorn is currently being over harvested and bots are running aroun there and no wonder why. I spent a lot of time working on a speed harvester build (Fiord's + Jailbreaker mostly in medium divines) but I get there hardly any nodes XD.

No. Just no. That's doing things wrong even WHEN you respect the node code. There are better ways of telling who's botting and who isn't. Just because someone TRIES to steal your node doesn't make them a bot. That's an abuse to the reporting system and they do state when you report them as such that abusing the feature is a no no. Instead, call them out in zone. The more people that speak out against node thieves, the better Craglorn can be. Also, back people up when they call out node thieves because that whole attitude of "lol the node ain't urz" is astoundingly common.

With that part out of the way and addressing the issue as a whole, it's a stupid situation. It's the wild west all over again in Craglorn. Instead of just having it limited to Upper Craglorn, it's all over the freaking place.

You forgot the Darkshade set...you can run like Forest
Also add in treasure hunter CP for all those chests you come across while gathering and the CP skills that reduce gathering time and chance to gather more from a node.
Also since OT hit, maxing legerdemain is useful to get those purple set items from troves.
The PvP skill rapid maneuvers is as easy to get as doing the PvP tutorial.
Shadow rider passive from DB skill line for the times you want to ride through an army to get that columbine.
