Crafting - Hirelings and Temper/Tannin/Resin Expertise

Someone recently told me that putting skill points into the expertise skills would increase the quality of items that hirelings send to you. I've been playing TESO for quite long time now, but I never heard or read of this before, I think. So, I'm really struggling to believe it.

Does anyone have any more information about this?

I don't notice any real difference between my mules and my more skilled crafting characters, including the ones that are maxed in everything.

I have 4 low level mules that are leveled enough in crafting to get the L3 Hirelings, but they have no other points in crafting, even materials. They get, or used to get, a decent stream of gold, purple and other tempers. Lately, my hirelings have been miserly in that regard, don't know if its because RNG is not being favorable, or it was a tweak in the last update.

Also, the secret to Hirelings is to have a lot of them. One character running hirelings is just frustrating. And, you don't need to go all the way to L3, which requires a crafting skill of 32, you can get better tempers with L2's, crafting Level 12 iirc.

Feeding your mules with CP160 mob loot will quickly get them to L32, in fact you can get to L12 with an hour's worth of mob farming.

It used to be like that but only for enchants. You could not get a Kuta if you did not know how to use it.
Even that is gone by now and as far as I know only the hireling level that matters for all crafting skills.
