Jewelry trait rng?

Is there an rng behind the trait of jewelery for item sets? I've only seen the three piece sets come in different traits for the jewelry. I. E. Arcane,/robust /healthy willpower.

I would like to farm arcane thunderbug jewelery and all purples from dolmen so far have been healthy.
I have a blue named necklace from the thunderbug set however that actually is in arcane. Bought it from a trader.

    It is - and AFAIK has always been - the case that jewelry tied to specific armour sets inherits its trait based on the weight of that armour. After 1T this is more obvious given the increase in set jewelry available, but it's:

    Light armour -> Arcane Jewelry
    Medium armour -> Robust Jewelry
    Heavy armour -> Health Jewelry

    The exceptions to this seem to be the unique, 'named' drops from completing quests. Looking through the data it seems as though there's only one 'named' jewelry piece for the Thunderbug set:

    [5] = "{ 34752 }, -- Thunderbug Carapace Heretic's Necklace (Arcane)"

    I'm not sure which quest rewards this (blue) necklace, though it will be part of the central quest in Malabal Tor.

    Not sure if correct but I've only had, from the new area specific sets, arcane for magicka sets and robust for stamina. I would guess this set only drops in health. Would be good to get it confirmed tho

    Ive personally never picked up a robust agility ring. always arcane (why?) and healthy (makes more sense than arcane)

    Any possibility of fixing so that "magicka" sets that are for example found in Heavy armor can also have the jewelry dropped in arcane?

    I'm using the Thunderbug's Carpace set on my magicka sorcerer, it is a set that gives spell damage but also an neat 5pc bonus which I find very useful as a counter to basically most melee fighters in PvP. However the traits for the jewelry seem to be strictly healthy.

    For my build and playstyle I would prefer the ~3k magicka over ~3k hp on these jewelry. As I run a crafted set along with this I simply can't use other pieces untill jewelry crafting is introduced to keep my
    5+5+2 set setup with S&B and monster helms.

    I'd love your view on this.

    Yes I figured as much but I did, as stated, buy the necklace you mentioned (which was in blue for that matter so I wasnt happy with its quality). I would have loved it in purple ^^. Along with 2 rings ofc.

    It does not make sense that it should drop/be rewarded in arcane if its not intended for HA sets to have arcane jewelry, based on the Arcane->LA,Robust -> MA etc.
    But seeing as it is avalible, maybe we are supposed to be able to get jewelery in different traits to allow for more build diversity.

    My build relies on shields, shields rely on magicka hence the Healthy trait does me no good. I've found a "new" play style that is different than what most magsorcs run and ATM I am not allowed to fully utilize the builds potential due to bad traits on jewelry.

    I do entirely agree that it would be more helpful with min/max build diversity to offer multiple traits on these - however it's worth taking note of the consequential increase in the RNG grind in doing so: If they let HA jewelry drop all traits, they would pretty much have to do the same for all sets - so those farming LA/MA jewelry would have to go through the arcane/robust/healthy RNG that isn't there at present.

    Yea I guess you are right about that. However they have introduced this "smart loot" feature where for example item sets with a 5 pcs bonus to say destructive spell dmg will not drop in other weapons than destruction staves.

    This could be something for jewelry aswell following the basic principle

    LA -> Arcane
    MA -> Robust
    HA -> Healthy

    with an addative that if i.e.
    LA Set has a bonus to resistances/health recovery/max health its jewelry can also drop in Healthy
    HA set has a bonus to spell dmg/max magicka it can drop arcane jewelry.

    You get the picture :smile:
