Hardest part was finding a grind spot bc everyone and their mom was out grinding. For the most part everyone was gentlemanly but every now and then that one dude would show up and leech.

I leveled 4 characters up during the anniversary event, couldn't find the motivation to do it again for this one. My four new baby-alts are just going to have to keep waiting for a bit.

The fun for me comes now. But I grinded with a friend every time so convo was good through out.

I haven't paid attention, what gives such good exp?

I did level some slow leveling skills in a public dungeon where I could pull 20 mobs at a time, but it didn't rely on the memento.

I know someone who leveled 2 accounts full of 8 characters to VR 12 before the end of 2014 when there were no ESOplus or experience scroll or Festival bonuses. I honestly don't know how she did it. Aside from 16 hours a day dedication.

I don't really get straight exp grinding because one can easily get to level 50 by grinding other required items like skill points.

I guess there is now a gear benefit to grinding delves after hitting hitting 50. But most of those sets will soon have little or no value.

Leech? How do you leech a grind spot? It's grinding, more people will come and go to grind for as long as they'd like, or maybe they're just running through while playing the game?

Undaunted dailies. Handle it the same way you do training mount skills. You make all the characters, park them next to the stablemaster, log in an pay each morning so that 90 days later you've got fully leveled speed, carrying capacity and stamina. If you do it that way just add in one Undaunted daily for each every day and it'll inch up slowly and be ready for when you really want to level the character. I think my alts are already at Undaunted 3 3/4ths that way since the dailies were added.

Maelstrom arena on normal is a solid place to grind. I got from level 24 to 29 with a single run with all training + ambrosia + momento buffs. To 34 on the next run. I expect I'll max that character with just a few more.

Then again, an extensive knowledge of the mechanics of the arena, spawn points, and how to build for it goes a long way. I suspect someone who doesn't frequent vMA would have a bad time trying to grind here.

To get the XP bonus you and another player group up and kill mobs. But the moment a third player comes and tags your mobs the XP is greatly reduced for everyone hence "leeching".

ESO, from the longest leveling curve in any modern AAA MMO (Level 1 to VR14) to one of the shortest leveling curves. I would be more impressed with one VR14 than a stable of Level 50's.
