I know I need to learn to play
I need advice. I'm trying to get master crafter and trying to do lots of things solo. I don't mind asking my guild for help but I feel frustrated dragging them away from stuff to help me. I have 182 CP carried over from another character I had. I'm a mag DK and I'm having such a hard time trying to make my character able to do thing solo so I don't always need to ask for help. I've seen people at max CP who can solo things. I'm forgetful. I rarely use food or pots. I'm trying to make my toon not have to rely on food and pots. Can I get some tips for grinding perhaps? I'm level 32

✭✭✭The add-on FCO Starve Stop, or similar ones, will help you notice when your food buff is down.
None of my characters ever go anywhere without a purple food buff. It's a very different game without the food!
I would be happy to make you enough food to get you through your grind.
Appropriately-leveled gear makes a big, big difference in 1T. As do Set bonuses and enchants. I have something like 30+ hirelings so mats aren't ever an issue for me except gold upgrades which are ridiculously rare now, sadly. It certainly doesn't help with the level of imbalance between players.
The people you see soloing things are probably like me, with tons of CP and purple gear even on sub-level 50 characters.
The best advice, though, is to get a good skill loadout. Engulfing Flames, Burning Talons, Draw Essence, Molten Armaments, Igneous Shield, Coagulating Blood are all important for a magicka DK.
Talons groups to hold them still and use Draw Essence to get a little self-heal and when it explodes seconds later it restores some magicka, for sustainability. Igneous is a health-based shield which helps a little but more importantly it gives Major Mending, making your Coagulating Blood self-heal all the more powerful. Learn to cast the one before the other.
Also, go to the Alliance zone your other character hasn't been to yet and enjoy the quests and don't think of it as a grind. Efficiently turning in quests with the Festival xp bonus gets really good xp.0 -

Don't forget your food and pots. By doing so you are gimping yourself.

EVERYONE needs food, those Pro's that you admire? they use food, and so should you. It's also strongly advisable to have weapon or spell power pots in case of emergencies, but you dont need to chug them for trivial stuff.vHoF HM 202k Tick-Tock Tormentor (Stamblade)

✭✭Like the guy said above, there is an addon for the food timer.
I have a friend that forgets like you do, so he reassigned his rotation to a horizontal line of buttons and added the pot button in the row. He can't forget because he goes through every button in the line over and over.
If you are having trouble with bosses, use vitality pots with flame lash.0
