It seems to me that the game is down more than it is playable. What is the problem this time? And... how long?

    maintenance for maintenance, they broke something and cant understand what it is :D DAAAAAAAAMN, how i hate this cofee pause from ZOS, if somebody can contact with them - ask about time and issue, they dont want publish any information for players, BAD DEVELOPER, BAD COMMUNITY MANAGER

    Just one little thing... there is something thats called testing.
    How about before doing your patch onto live servers play it yourselves, DEVS, for about half-an-hour.
    Then you would've noticed the rollback issues by yourselves and you could've fixed them before rolling them onto live.
    Just my way of thinking...

    DAMN I was so eager to start playing tonight knowing the patch would have been applied. Great disappointment..

    According to this thread, downtime will last another couple of hours. This was about two hours ago. But who honestly knows.

    Just got another update from the team working the maintenance. We're about an hour out from completion, maybe less. We'll let you know as soon as everything is back up and the servers are re-opened.

    Honestly its getting laughable... this is the only MMO I have played where normal maintenance days are 12 hours+ even when all they fix is "oh some NPC was spawning too fast in Mournhold"... like how did you break something fixing THAT?!

    ...they don't QA test...they probably don't even use an ITIL method of change management. They probably just put their random code on their dev servers then promote it to prod without any kind of thorough testing. The developers probably don't even know SDLC means...LOL

    I have been a member of ESO since April 4th 2014 but didn't get a code until recently when I asked.

    He didn't say more than the game is available... His wording is correct for a subjective reference.

    In other words, if his playtime is twice a week for 8 hours....
