Set piece dungeon grinding! Blue drops vs purples drops?

Hello my fellow ESO fanatics. This may be a stupid question but if I have plenty of tempers to upgrade set piece drops would I be losing out in any other way by not going for purple ones in veteran dungeons? I want a 5 piece set in undaunted bastion for my new tank. I'll probs have to re-enchant purple drops anyway when I Kuta them up.

no real loss, outside of blue jewelry and no monster helms. the set armor and weapons can just be upgraded

Well if you want the jewelry you'd have to get purple jewelry from the vet dungeons because it can't be upgraded. Otherwise it doesn't make any difference.

Purple tempers are really cheap anyways. But veteran dungeons are much better if you hunt for at least purple jewelry.

Yup thats pretty much it. Normal mode gives blue armour, blue jewlery and no monster mask at end, while veteran mode gives purple quality set items, and purple jewlery, also boss mask at final boss. So if your not geting ur set in any of the jewelery pieces, I would do normal mode to farm it

I was speaking to a guy that had spent around 2 days farming dolmen's because he wanted a purple armour piece. He was moaning that he had had tons of them drop in blue's but not a single one drop in purple with the trait. Someone else piped up and told him he could have saved 2 days of his life by just improving one of the blue pieces at a bench. The guy just left and can only assume it was because of embarrassment that he hadn't thought of that. Did raise a chuckle amongst those of us who were still standing around.

I fail to see how he farmed armor on dolmens. Dolmens drop only jewelry afaik.

I'm slightly embarrassed that I forgot that we can't improve jewelry hah. Guess I'm not immune to blonde moments either but at least i can be cautious with questions having this great forum and prevent any major bloopers hah

Dolmens, bosses, skull farming etc. I've done so much farming over the last week, it all just kinda blends into one. It was in a public dungeon. My bad.
