    Another new class thread?

Wardens arent "new" though. A little research and youd know that. They were canned before launch but some of us feel that we were cheated out of a great class.

I'm well aware of the canned Warden class, so plz drop the attitude. I'm saying new in the way of actually adding it into the game, making it "new", not new as in an original concept.

Theres always nay sayers. Using the same tired excuses of someone who hasnt played an mmo before.

So from the experience of a veteran mmo player. Lets clear the air:

-PvE guys, there will always be a meta shift. Get over it.

-PvP guys, theres no such thing as perfect balance in mmorpgs. Get over it.

-To the people who say, "fix the bugs first". There are separate departments for gameplay and bug fixing. Get over it.

-To the people who suggest no classes. That NEVER works in a AAA mmorpg. It would lead to disaster for balance. Get over it.

-To the people who suggest making skills additional lines. There are some things that are better off as a class. When new lines are added, that means they have to be balanced with ALL classes in mind which can lead to either being OP or UP. While as a new class, it can be easily balanced around its self without considering other classes. Therefore, there are some things that should be class and theres some things that should be world line. So....get over it.

Now that we have that out of the way. Can we return back to topic?

What exactly does any of that have to do with anything I said?
If anything you should get over the fact ZOS will never add the Warden class.
    So yeah, get over it

Typical eso "no new classes" arguments which make little to no sense.

Anyway, you say that but lets be honest. Itll happen eventually.

Anyway, if you arent interested. Why are you even on this thread? To be a drag?

ZOS can't even balance the 4 classes we have right now, so adding a new class would just exacerbate that issue.
If they ever did add the Warden Class, they'd probably end up selling it in the Crown Store, in which case I'd just leave ESO because it would have officially become P2W at that point and really wouldn't care.

Refer to 1st and 2nd point. I already covered that awful argument

That attitude really does you no favors, makes your topic loss credibility with the "I'm right and nothing you say will ever prove me wrong" mentality, making all discussion pointless.

Sure, other MMOs add new classes to their game periodically but how many of those MMOs offer the level of Freedom ESO does in class builds? Usually, classes are limited in their Role in the Trinity and have 1 or 2 optimal set ups at most, making balancing those classes a cakewalk in comparison to ESO, which offers up too much freedom to realistically balance in the same sense. I have played other MMOs and sometimes, they fail hard in balancing the 1st time around.

For example, let's look at FF14. They added a new Healer Class in the Heavensward DLC, the Astrologian.
It was a complete and utter FAILURE. It was pretty much a combination of the other 2 Healers in the game (Scholar and White Mage) but failed horribly as the White Mage offered stronger and better heals, while the Scholar offered better Shielding. The only area it excelled at was group buffs but that was limited by a horrid RNG card system, making the class outright terrible starting off. Even now, after a year and buffing it to a better spot, people still prefer WHM and SCH over AST because of how reliable the other 2 are in comparison.

Going by the Description of the Warden, it would be a combination of Templar and Sorcs, with Healing, Pets and Elemental Magics, so the potential for it to fail just like AST in FF14 is pretty much there

This is for short terms but what about long term? You add a new class and balance it carefully with existing skill lines so that it doesn't become OP but what about down the line when they add more skill lines? That is now 5 classes that need to be balanced around the new skill line instead of the current 4. The potential for imbalance increases the more classes you add and the more Skill Lines you add, so really this argument is moot as in the long term you still get the same issue.

Regardless, until ZOS shows some level of Competence with actually balancing their game, at least a little, then I really can't see them adding an whole new class to the game any time soon.

And to be clear about Balance, I don't expect perfect balance, but when the Difference between the Best DPS and 2nd best is ~15k there is a clear problem that needs to be addressed.
