i dislike the holloween event because it spoils all game content

i waited until ESO one tamriel so i could explore content at my own pace
but now with a time limited event like this, it requires us to go through every single random dungeon ive not explored or discovered yet, and spoil its entire story and arch and everything
it ruins immersion and i wish you guys had an event that was out in the real world, not self contained in spamming queues for random dungeons. it doesnt suit the spirit of the game or its what it excels at.

It doesn't require anything of the such... You can just sit and farm the same one over and over again and not spoil the story. I do think the event is way too grindy, however.

You're not required to anything you don't like . Go explore . I spent a few days of holiday grinding then went back to the usual .

I hate it due to the RnG over 100 skulls not one mask , biggest waste of distraction this has been won't be bothering with the next event

Why do people even farm skulls.

The fact it came out with one tamriel is perfect as people are finding the new sets and the skulls are just there as a bonus.

Im at 200+ skulls and no mask yet and im not bothered, im console ive actually played the event for 5 days properly, still got like 8 left.

This is what I am not getting. The masks are some stupid cosmetic thing right? I've opened 300+ chests with no masks, and although it is disappointing, I don't really mind.

I've got all the festival rewards several times over, on 2 chars, and all I've done is naturally explore the overland, and do the dungeons I wanted to do.

Nope.
You can just ignore the whole event, or you can just farm one dwelve boss over and over and over, grabbing one skill per five minutes (that's the drop cooldown timer as I recall).
The only thing it does do, is eat up your gaming time. And that's everyones choice as to how they spend it.
Oh, and make all the dwelves crowded with skull farmers. But hey, -just- like in RL sometimes public places get crowded with party people during some holidays, right?

Totally wrong. You can just stay and farm dolmens / dark anchors. The respawn time of the anchors matches the respawn of the skulls so good, that you get one after every boss. So you get skulls, set loot (you can sell the purple jewelry for good money) & very good XP. You can even stand on the same point the whole time without moving.

Personally I find it hilarious that people with a Halloween-themed polymorph (Pumpkin specter, scarecrow specter) from last Halloween that have been waiting to use it, cant, or are forced to choose between wearing the item they paid 20$ for and participating in the event... or repeatedly toggling the buff every few minutes -_-
Great job there, as if people don't already feel annoyed enough with the Crown store issues, you've gotta essentially nullify a 20$ purchase during the ONE MONTH of the year it's actually relevant.

You know, I got most of the HJ motifs in one day. I just for some reason will never ever find HJ legs. Only have 1 mask though, anyone know how many there are?

I dislike it because it rewards worth nothing.

Few recipes have situational uses, previous blue reciepe gives more stats..such a debuff!

Mag max + magicka recovery?

Max hp, max mag and mag recoery?

Seems more than situational, throw in a few tri glyphs and you can sustain without dedicating a full 5 piece set to it.

1st reciepe is no good as u lose 5k HP and can not survive Vet Dungeons or Trials,

Infact its bad for PVP, also there is some debuff to magicka.

You can not get 5k HP back unless losing around 4500 magicka either by skills or glyph.

So practically failed.

2nd Recipe, gives around 2,000+ less stats which is a great debuff, for Magicka recovery u can use Mundus Stone or wear 7 magicka pieces or restro always work. You will last much longer but debuff to stats is too much.

Can not lose blue food..so new recipes are pretty much loss..

The only thing annoying about the event is that you have to stay in a hideous polymorph to participate.

I got most of my skulls from doing the mages/fighter/undaunted guild dailies. It's not particularly hard to get everything but the masks at a leisurely pace and ultimately you can stand and farm just one boss if you wish.

I actually got everything i could from the festival just by doing pledges. But yep, i hate the event.

While people say RNG, I also suspect that ZOS changes the odds at whim. My first 100 skulls netted two masks. My next 150 skulls netted zero. Not outside the statistical RNG for a low probability occurrence, but highly suspicious.

Why bother with the delves at all, I parked my magica Templar in Deshan at one of the dark anchors, the skulls drop from the end boss, spent about three hours there while I watched one of my favourite movies. Got the whole motif and the recipes, didn't get the mask but I don't use masks anyway

It doesnt "require" anything. There's plenty of time to get the title (and the title is not by any means "required", it doesnt give you any extra power or anything), and you can get it just by doing dailies. Ive got it on my main without any extra farming, and almost got it on a new alt that I'm leveling at my own pace (not every day even), just by collecting skyshards and books.
Imo complaining about free exp boost and free stuff is just silly.

I love the extra XP, but I miss my pretty dresses.

I definitely am not going to give up xp to look pretty, but I sure can't wait til the day I don't have to drink the witches brew.

i farmed the same dungeon for the event. so long as you have the buff and are able to kill the boss that spawns in the delve then you get a skull.

I'm using the event as a way to complete all the anchors I didn't get in cadwells silver and gold originally. :shrug: There are now people at dolmens that I never saw anyone at before.

Bethesda likes content that requires costumes or disguises. There is a lot of that across several games

But as this is optional, it shouldn't have ruined anything for you. Just do something else.
