I just play this game to get away from the bs I encounter in real life, and to avoid making poor decisions that could have me ended up in another situation I can't get out of again in the streets. Now I have to deal with it on the forums and in-game?

I complain to a GM about a racist and people trolling heavily, and the GM responds that those people are their friends and how they'll do nothing. Upon saying I'll just take my complaints to ZOS instead of them as the GM will do nothing — the GM then decides to make our conversation which was private in a whisper now public to insight the whole guild to be nasty to me and defend them. This is also a guild filled with people who: Buy gold, monopolize crap, pay others to run content for them, and do other horrible things. And yet, no one does crap about it. ZOS you do nothing, as these people do this crap day in and day out. AND! I got kicked from the guild for asking something be done about racists.

This is a guild that has near 500 people, and is a guild that is primarily a trading guild. These people also exploited to get materials, and other things when the banker exploit was out. They also exploited Dromathra materials and the Shadows of the Hist skins. They also participated in paying people for Stormproof and Flawless Conqueror runs. I'm tired of this crap on consoles, dude. Everywhere I freaking look. Nonstop. End it. You say not to name and shame, but the crap like what was listed below happens regularly. HANDLE IT. NOW. I'm sick of these wannabe cyber mafias acting like they control crap, all because of they have dummy accounts and altnernate accounts to stash gold and in a sense dodge bans. It's sickening.

You want to know why I play solo and do solo crap? Because I truly can't stand others as a whole. Every time I try to trust others, and be nice to people on this game. People prove just how wicked they are. And meanwhile ZOS would rather punish the people reporting the nonsense, rather than those who are truly out running black markets on their game and doing things against the TOS behind closed doors. How do I know about all the things I talk about? Because I was there when a lot of it happened, and made buddies with some of those people under the guise of that I wouldn't say anything. But no. I'm putting it all on the table. F them. F that guild, and all those who support the constant toxicity that is spreading over ESO like an epidemic on the forums and in-game alike. Whether it be on PC/Mac or console.

Even the GM is mocking ZOS, and acting like they're untouchable. And the sick thing is, people defend that crap all because of shady business and dealings done. As well as because of them being "popular" and always having a full guild.

By the way, being as I got kicked I got scammed for 50k, as I paid months ago 50k to be able to sell in that guild and have officer privileges. And I was told that no matter what, I would always be able to sell and have my stuff. Yes this has happened. Yes, they are doing that crap too.

Edit: If you ZOS staff want logs and more concrete evidence of the crap that guild and its occupants pull, I'll happily turn over screen shots I took. Sick of their crap, and them thinking their big Willy. So long as something gets done about it, I'm fine. But it has to end. The nation I reside in (America) has enough of this type of crap happening in the real world with corruption right and left, as well as EXTREME racism and prejudices. And if that means I have to 'rat' or 'snitch' on the so called 'popular' people of ESO? Then F it. I'll send over tons of intel, and reportings. I've actually reached that point. They've forced my hand that to that level.

From what I see here, you're a troll. Don't like the guild, you can always leave. Don't like what someone says, put them on ignore. It's people like you that create a toxic atmosphere.

Excuse me...? Do you even know me? How am I a troll, for privately asking a GM to deal with users who make personal attacks and make racist jokes and extremely offensive jokes regularly? I'm sorry to say this but if you're on console, you're kind of on your own. It's not that ZOS don't want to handle, it's that MS and Sony has to handle their player base. That said, if they were being like that, you should have left instead of instigating it further

report them to ZOS in the game (add screenshots), put them into ignore list, leave that toxic guild and find better people, find better guild (keywords: mature, friendly, relaxed), it sucks, that some lame people are doing mafia practices to the economy, but that are the only things you can do about it.
if you do not like that guild, leave.

Why do you play this game OP, all you seem to do is come on the forums and moan constantly about one thing or another.

If you find it so toxic and unrewarding just play something else to keep you from making a mistake on the streets ( thug life eh ), I'd suggest GTA, 2birds 1 stone .

Don't get in trouble here with moderators , delete those pictures with names . Not worth it . This is not ignoring and moving on . This does nothing but invites more trolls . Make reports if you feel the TOS has been violated but stay away from court of public opinion . It always ends badly .

I would personally delete this whole thing and just look at the guild recruitment threads for people with same ideals as me and walk away . No need to put everybody on blast here .

I have had people say mean things to me . I don't respond back . If it's really bad and violates TOS I put in a report and then forget about it . Only happened twice in two years though . Run towards nice people and don't look back at negative people .

Then they win. These sick and wicked jerks win. All because of the screwed up policies about "naming and shaming", and not a thing gets done. They'll continue to make people's lives hell, continue to scam and extort people, continue to make light of highly racist and prejudice jokes, teach others subconsciously that it's okay to do what they do. That they can mouth off about how untouchable they are, and taunt even the company of the game they play to hundreds of others under their guild who believes their a mafia on a MMO. They can go on thinking their hot crap, because of their little fame on a video game....

No mods can save them from being talked to how they deserve. There is no silly slaps on the wrists and chuckles about being openly racist and prejudice. There is no defense to it. And while there are consequences for handling things on your own terms, you at least stood your ground and a point and lesson was made that day to those who violated you as a human being.

When all this is said and done, and weeks and months down the line from now...? When everyone is happy and carefree, those same sick freaks in that pic and in that guild will still be doing underhanded crap day in and day out. They'll continue making people's lives online a living hell, and treat anyone how they feel. And get away with it too. And you know why...? Because ZOS cares more about making a damn dollar, and retaining its player base than weeding out the bad eggs in the basket. Rather than breaking those bad eggs' fragile shells of false superiority and popularity and fame on the Internet. This world makes me sick to my stomach, and fills me with hate beyond belief due to the constant behavior we as human beings partake in. But when someone snaps, and gets even? They get viewed as: Disturbed, crazy, problematic, and overly dramatic.

Tch... I can't even find peace and a sanctuary from the bs and drama of life in a digital world. Let alone the real world. Pathetic.

Yeah a break will probably do you good. I agree that a lot more needs to be done to remove the grubby behaviour on consoles and it is infuriating about the lack of action from ZOS and PS4, but judging from your post, maybe a short stint away from the game might do you good. Maybe some single player games? You got Uncharted 4? Go check that *** out if you don't. After a couple of weeks, come back refreshed, join a new chill guild and try to enjoy yourself again.

people arent defending the peoples behaviour, they are merely pointing out there are tools and choices you can do to help yourself. Its not really a devs thing to do. Name and shaming as tactic does nothing but give the abuser more advertising. Like any child/bully the best thing you can do is take away 'the audience'. They do this type of stuff to cause a reaction. There are always toxic people everywhere in life and especially in game. Those who delight in exploitation and and general being 'insert bad word here'. Nothing you can do is going to change them as people, all you can do is refuse to play their game, I handle them with humour, fury never works.

That said I was truly surprised the other day when there was this racist loon in chat so I blocked him and stopped seeing his rant but I could still what he had already written until others chatted so it disappeared. There are only so many things devs can do, but they cant change human behaviour, sadly. Nor is it their job.

Without sounding patronising, cos I understand and respect where you are coming from, but naming and shaming and get publicly upset only gives the lunatics what they want. Dont play their game.

This is the best advice your ever going to receive about this issue OP. Seriously, this works. Bullies get hard-ons when people like OP rage at them. Handling it with humour is the opposite reaction to what they want.

As if ESO-Community is the only one toxic. Naah. This happens in all communities, in all games. There is simply no way of preventing it. Yes, you can report them to ZoS with Screenshots & a proper explanation of the situation. And you might also want to add them to blocklist. Oh, and include which point in ToS they violated, too. Easier when you got a legal document to support your claims.

However, what I have noticed is that your own behaviour determines how people react to you. For instance, when someone is ego-tripping constantly or bragging about something every 5 minutes, people *will* get annoyed. (Not saying you do, just in general). Constant whining, QQ or complaining will also make people react negatively to you.

This will prob sound very cliche but: do to others what you want people to do to you. I'm interacting with a lot of people ingame. My blocklist is empty. You simply have to treat others the same way you want to be treated & not do yourself what you know annoys other people. Oh, and if you mess up, say sorry. It's easier to forgive & move on when you say sorry.

Aaanyway. tl;dr: Chill, relax, be nice to others & don't do stuff that'll trigger'm. And you'll be just fine. Humans usually are our own worst enemy.
