I traveled to Riften yesterday to take on someone offering 10k for beating them in a duel. The lag was so bad I immediately ported back out to the wilderness.

I'll duel anyone but wagering 10k to fight in Riften Remix Edition wasn't something I was all that interested in.

Yeah if you don't care much for the small things like crafting, economy, pvp, i won't mention immersion or lore-friendliness because it's obvious it's not the game for ES fans anymore so nobody really cares. Because now you have so much new things to do: waiting for a boss to respawn, spamming LFG to the zone chat, farming the same dungeon for you BiS gear, deconstructing set items you don't want because you have plenty of them but they're all bound, getting jevelry for being around a dolmen while it's facerolled by a dozen of people. Interesting. I don't seem to have any of these problems.

I still craft my own gear as well as gear for guildies every day.

I don't mind deconstructing or selling useless drops

There are about a billion quests, so you don't have to grind or farm any boss unless you want to for specific gear. I feel no need to do that.

The only reason the dolmens and delves are camped are for the plunder skulls for the holiday event. That will end soon and things will tone back to normal.

I've only seen a few being actually "camped" before the festival. Not even remotely ALL of them. Only the ones that drop the best of the new sets.

I've also already seen a decline in the amount of camping at the World Bosses. (I love the boost that they gave them by the way). These are supposed to bring people together, and it is working.

Some people aren't going to be happy no matter what you do.

Agreed. Dueling needs to be kept out of town and preferably in the arenas designed for it. Other than that, the update is great and I've been enjoying it enormously, including the Halloween event.

Best update in a long time. Balance still needs work but at long last the PvE content isn't completely dead anymore outside of a handful of zones. Sure, some people liked the emptiness of zones but that's a terrible trait for an MMO to have, IMO; big beautiful areas completely wasted by having nothing to do in them.

Even on console, I've seen a handful of duels taking place in Mournhold or at the Undaunted Enclave but nothing so disruptive to have lag issues.

Sounds like a personal preference issue (and shameless YT channel promotion) than anything else

It was cool seeing alliance icons on all players. It's like being in Cyrodiil, except not. The population has now tripled in PVE so the Cadwell Silver and Gold areas are no longer ghost towns.

I like the hard World Bosses, Delves and Dolmens...challenging.

The duels are fun to watch.

Not when you log into a zone and crash, see solid black place holders for the first 15 seconds, you have heavy lag in open world, when Dolmans are so crowded you have to spam AoEs in hopes you do enough damage to get credit or having to sit and wait for a boss cause two groups are farming heads in a circle.

More is not better, I have 12 characters while doing Dolmans on a low level with no AoEs I literally couldn't get a hit in as everything dies from AoEs before they fully loaded.

This update was a bad idea with many great parts. Scaled zones, new gear, new dailies and more. But come on the sets were farmed week one and now players are just stacking in the same places as before, zones with weak drops still empty as ever. Now without alliances in PvE quest to kill soldiers from the other alliances make no sense.

From a pve standpoint, I love this update. The pvp'r in me likes the dueling and is okay with this update minus dem proc sets that will probably get a reworking. From an rp standpoint, I also love this update. Overall, this was a damn fine update, damn fine.

I think he played the closed beta, and then his review was when the game launched. I've watched the video in question, and he has alot of good points.. for the time of the video which was in 2014, none of that is even relevant now.

which is weird because i usually play in 4k, 100FPS. drops to 30 when there is a lot going on, like a ton of dueling, or 20 plus players killing a WB. scaling this down to 1080p doesn't improve FPS, at all

No way 1T is the best update by far.

The amount of content which is now worth doing is huge.
I love that dungeons are now end game content for more than just helm / pledges. People in my guilds are constantly looking for group members to hit various dungeons for drops, instead of just doing the pledge dungeons over and over on alts.

I love that I can do all the quests in a zone if I like that zone. Before I was out levelling the content and the rewards were as useless as the drops.

I love that world bosses are scary. If you're going in to solo one you stop, take a deep breath and then take the plunge, instead of barely noticing as you face roll through.

I'm not a big fan of the massive amount of dolmen / world boss camping and public dungeon farmers right now. I'm hoping most of this will drop off as the more hardcore get their BiS sets and I would also prefer some sort of restrictions on duelling in towns. But as far as pro's and con's go, 1T is a massive win.

One Tamriel needs work, like all updates need work, however undoing it? Nah! Just needs some tweaking.

I actually got to play last night after a day and a half of downloading. PVP in my opinion NEEDS tweaking on the armor sets, but I don't know how these play in PVE. I love the new ultimate's and I actually hardly saw a difference in PVP last night, it just felt the same as it always has...Lag on the new ultimate's are also a new thing, and Lag which has always been there is still noticeable.

I'm guessing PVE has most of the changes, sorry guys im almost ALWAYS in Cyrodiil unless I'm guild trading

It's made the game into a real TES game. Those who say it ruins the lore have never played attention to the npcs in the game. And those who complain that it's not like other MMOs just need to go play a different MMO. LOTRO is free and fun, plus it's just like all the rest so there problem solved. Those that complain that there are too many people..... Why are you playing an MMO in the first place?

And to be honest, if everyone knew as much about developing video games as they act like they do around here, then they would probably be off somewhere else playing a game that they actually made. Or they'd send a resume to ZOS or Bethesda so they could actually develop this game.
