How to make the training trait useful

This primarily applies to set items found, but also applies to crafted sets.

Have it as the only trait item that also changes the level of the item based on the level of the toon, but never quite at the character level.

So if your main makes a training set using CP160 mats, or finds a training undaunted helm at CP160, a low level char can use it, but is always leveled behind.

11 - 15 = 10
16 - 20 = 15
21 - 25 = 20
26 - 30 = 25
31 - 35 = 30
36 - 40 = 35
41 - 45 = 40
46 - 50 = 50

CP
1 - 10 = 1
11 - 20 = 10
21 - 30 = 20
31 - 40 = 30
41 - 50 = 40
51 - 60 = 50
61 - 70 = 60
71 - 80 = 70
81 - 90 = 80
91 - 100 = 90
101 - 110 = 100
111 - 120 = 110
121 - 130 = 120
131 - 140 = 130
141 - 150 = 140
151 - 160 = 150
160 = 160

It only goes up to what the base material used allows.

That would also remove the need for junk matts in the writs, and it would make the training trait on sets useful.

    While that's a neat idea and all, Training is already incredibly good. They massively buffed to to increase experience gain from kills, as compared to increasing skill line experience with that type of item. While I totally think the system you just outlined would be useful, Training as a trait is already perfect.

    Yes training is perfect for leveling the issue people have is that training drop on end game gear when it shouldn't.Training unlike prosperous has a use but not a use on endgame gear.

    If we're going to be honest with ourselves, training and prosperous are on end-game gear to encourage a return to the content instead of an easy path to best-in-slot. Also that's not what the topic was about. Now, I think there are still improvements to be made to the RNG system (basically keeping RNG elements but ditching the risk of infinite grinding), but that's not what anyone was talking about here.

    Training trait wouldn't be so bad, if it wasn't on 75% of the gear drops. There are eight traits that can drop, time to fix the RNG.

    I honestly think training trait should only be craftable and vanish from the loot table.

    I agree with you we all know why its their doesn't change the fact that they can do the same thing with the other 6 traits that are actually useful.Plus their get a lot less threads complaining about their drops since those drops be useful.As you said that's off topic of the discussion.

    Training is good enough, it just shouldn't be on cp160 drops.
