Like diablo 3 did with runes and it works pretty fine without ruining anything in the game
But which decisions? CLEARLY we should all be locked into one class, one race, one server, for all eternity because decisions should matter in RPGs.
No, that would be stupid. Just like blowing off the OP with 'decisions should matter'.
Make your guy a hybrid. I'm at 320 and am about 14sp short of my total build. I'm gonna do craglorn and then it's PvP until I can get enough to play any way I want.Sallington wrote: »But which decisions? There's 8 character slots, so the one class one race thing is silly. Yes, we ARE restricted to one server (megaserver). And the OP is about skill points, of which there is enough in the game for multiple specs at ones.
My main is my master crafter (110ish skill points just in crafting), my healer, and my favorite DPS. With the ~295 skill points I have on him, that is extremely easy to do. I think I still have like 30-40 skill points I don't know what to do with.
The OP made a post complaining about skill points, most likely when he has between 50-100 of them, and is too lazy to go skyshard hunting, complete dungeon quests, rank up in PvP, complete main zone quests, etc. There's far too many skill points at our disposal to complain about them being restricting.
This is a better argument, but this becomes the trade on MMO adventure vs removal of annoyances.Well, i see the reason to do it all for the first toon, but it doesnt make sense to repeat the same thing for all other toons. Then whats the difference from swear shop factories? Make he skill points, skyshards, books, dyes account wide pls. Its not being dumbed down its called better usage of people's time. And agree with op skill/morph change should be free in all sense, especially following the spirit of one tamriel.
I'm just saying make it easy.
I think some people don't realize I'm not asking for nothing new... it is already there, everyone can change their skill points and everything whenever they want if they pay... my idea is only to make it more direct and flexible, to do more easy adapt to any situation.
I'm just saying make it easy.
What's next? Do you want them to give you max riding skills when you make a new char for free? How about free sets of gold gear for every lvl? How about they start you off with 10 million gold in your bank? It's people like you who want everything handed to them on a silver platter that ruin games. If you want easy go play checkers, but by how your post sounds, you'd probably think that's too hard also.
If the idea of remove skyshards doesn't sound convincent then give at least the option to swap between two builds. Wow has something similar and FFXIV also. But in my opinion is just another dumb way to make it less complicated but still with complications.

I knew it.
I opened this post to talk about skill points but a big part of you just exaggerate everything, bringing everything out of context. I'm not asking for free gear, free riding skills and free etc. I'm asking to do something more easy and dynamic instead of have to pay for it.
It is nothing new what I'm saying, it is already implemented! you can change your skills points in the same way as if it would be for free with the only difference that you can do it in the moment, quick and for free, without have to visit a guy and pay.
I also said: if this idea is not good at least we need a swap build method, like any other MMORPG has.
By the way do you know that riding skills you had to feed every horse before and then they change it that all mounts are shared?
For me the problem is not that is hard, for example I'm a Templar that likes to go in Cyrodill and do Dungeons and is really frustrating when I have to chose between one morph or another and I was asking myself the other day, what a stupid thing, I know what skills I need to be effective in dungeons, but I can't pick them because I need the other morph for pvp.
So what happen here?
I have to go to that guy, pay for reset ALL my morphs, pick what i need for pve and after one day that I want to go in Cyrodill I have to pay again!
Do you catch my point?
Maybe for you is not necessary change skill points, but for me it is.
