Gold sellers

Can we do something about the gold sellers in text chat they are getting out of hand. The one I reported last night was still there today.

I am not surprised they are doing it on consoles its harder for Zos to ban them there. On pc you don't ever see bot spam in zone chats not since they added the delete limit. Since its much easier for them to ban on pc, they basically abandoned that version since it was not very profitable and since then the economy has been run by player base and not the gold sellers. It would be hard for the bots to set up a bot economy on pc again. But I imagine it was not hard for the bots to get and farm for lots of gold on consoles during the months there was no text chat. They could have been botting it for months and the playerbase not knowing about it. Now I imagine it will take some time to kill the problem on consoles. Since they have to go through microsoft and sony to do so.

I feel for the console players having to deal with that.

Who would even buy gold when it's so easy to earn it? I make 3-400K a week selling just surplus items.

A lot of people, i noticed PvP players are the main buyers since pvp isnt exactly very profitable, i dont want to buy gold so i put in an hour a week of farming raw mats, usually average 2.5 stacks of ore, 1 stack of silk, and 1 stack of wood,

Do they have to go through microsoft and Sony for all bans? I thought they could just ban at will from their game. The selling is currently in text chat, I have heard it in voice chat before as well. At least in voice you can block, text you cannot.

@bryanhaas have you tried /ignore characternamehere in the text box? From what I understand all the other text commands work.. maybe that one does too?

I have not only the block account through PSN which apparently has no effect on text chat. I was not aware /ignore was available, is there a shortened version such as /i ?

I have yet to see anyone selling gold on xbox. They do not have to go through anyone to ban the people from eso. They can restrict access to the game server to whoever they like, without going through anyone.

Why even waste time reporting on PS4?

you can have absolute evidence of whoever saying anything, threatening anything, doing anything that is clearly in breach of rules and all that happens is sony tell you "we checked and no rules were breached, also if you abuse the report button you may be punished"
