Crafting writ - Gold Items

Aside from a serious decline in crafting surveys; I have received no gold items since OneT update - how is everyone else's experience doing the dailies?

I manage to get some Gold items but I don't get anything as far as Surveys. The boxes of useless Materials are just that. Useless.

They either need to be Unrefined materials or Surveys.

Currently, it's pretty stupid.

Had about 4 surveys. Wood and Blacksmithing. 3 Golds from the Crates and another 3 from the decon from the surveys.

Only used to have to farm a little to keep my supplies topped up, used to be that simply going to the survey site and collecting on the way was enough, now it's a lot more of a time sink. Not sue why I keep doing them, I think it's just because I like roaming the game world. Also the gold tempering alloy still seems to be nice and regular and you get a lot more this way than I ever got refining mats.

The new surveys are very frustrating, before this games wired rng was kept on a nice short leash with lots of little surveys, now it's becoming a serious pain in the backside, it's getting harder and harder to justify.

Useless. I don't bother doing them any more. I used to like getting the surveys. Since 1T, I've not had a single survey, just boxes of refined mats worth less than the ones I used doing the writ.

Yeah, I don't bother with them either anymore. No gold improvement materials so far since One Tamriel (and there is no info regarding lowering the drop chance of those in the patch notes!!!). This + less surveys + bunch of worthless lower lever mats. Crafting writs are crappy now and not worth our time and gold/materials.

Thx guys for feedback. Going to give it a week but currently agreeing with you guys that it is not worth the high level mats and time for the return. Shame I was always a big advocate of doing the writs 4k gold and materials for simple quests seemed to make sense now it makes no sense at all for my current drop rates of surveys and gold items.

Not to mention, if you do get a survey map its on the @$$-end of nowhere. I miss picking the surveys at Wrothgar

I've noticed it too. Surveys also barely drop these days...
And I don't need those useless low level mats.

Shipments of unrefined mats would be much better, and they should match the level of items crafted for the quest. Its silly to give 25 iron ingots or jute as a reward for max lvl writ.

Currently not doing them because of the changes, but I did the first week and gold drops might have been a tad reduced.

And yes I miss the surveys in Orsinium as well.

Ive been doing max level writs on 10 characters since the 1T update. My observations thus far:

- Slight decrease in gold mats from writ containers (specifically Alloy and Wax)
- Overall, survey drop rate seems about right; however I have received more enchanting surveys than the other crafts (this past week alone I received 16 enchanting surveys across 10 characters vs. about 4-6 of woodworking, blacksmithing and clothing)
- Because of the discrepancy in the survey drop rate for my writs I have used a lot more material in the woodworking, blacksmithing and clothing writs
- The shipment of refined lower level materials is more of an inconvenience than anything. I wish they were unrefined and auto looted.
