There are other options out there, go and leave.SlayerTheDragon wrote: »No.
All that has changed is how well ZOS can rake cash in. That has been their sole focus.
- PVP is an utter mess
- Trait RNG is just such a very bad and lazy game design
- Lag is still an issue
- Balance between sets and skills...
If there was any other gaming option out there, half of this community would be gone.

It must be hard to be so "Pro" that no game can possibly keep up with your "L33t" skills. The pain you must feel every time you open up a game, knowing that it will never be able to keep up with your "twitch" reactions. The state of boredom you must feel after 10 minutes of gaming, yet being the hero you are, you push through and continue playing.
PVP is an utter mess
Not really a PVP'r but is fun in IC. If I was a betting man, I would say the numbers are higher on PVE than PVP. Therefore the focus will always be on that. If there are games with better PVP, why are you here playing this one?
Trait RNG is just such a very bad and lazy game design
Agreed. It could certainly be better. But it is what it is and they are looking at making changes, although it will never be quick enough for some. I think we come back to the "Min/Max" player who only wants Divines/Infused and will accept no less as it will compromise their amazing build. The vast majority within the game are not Min/Maxers.
Lag is still an issue
Tricky one this. I whole heartedly agree, having been kicked offline 5 times last night in 3 hours. Frustrating to say the least. Most games have issues with it, but some not as bad as others. In this situation, the game is built around a system that was designed back in when? 2011/2012? Technologies have changed a lot and quite frankly, there is no financial justification for them to re-write it/re-architect it.
Balance between sets and skills...
Again, we're back to Min/Maxing here. For the vast majority they are wandering around, enjoying PVP, Role Playing, doing quests etc. On a plus side, we've seen ZOS start to take action with the (granted poorly) change in the IC Trophy drops and the gear you get from there. Hell, I used over 800 trophies and wasted them all on poor design, but whatever, it's a game.
To me, people seem to get very wrapped up in the minor things in a game and get very vocal about it based on an emotional response over an above a logical one. I'm pissed off that they are having a sale in the middle of the month, which makes no marketing sense what-so-ever...but it is what it is.
If I was actually that pissed off, I'd un-install the game like I did with BDO and move on. Like you said, "Half the community would move on if there was something better". Well, from your considered opinion, there isn't, otherwise you wouldn't still be here *smiles*. So don't get annoyed, don't bring others down, just chill a bit. It's a game. It's used to get away from reality.
If it annoys you that much, turn it off or un-install it and move on.
Disclaimer: All these views are my own as I'm a grown adult who is not afraid of invisible people on the internet. They are also probably wrong and incorrect and there is no substantive information to back up any of my arguments - just using a poor form of logic
