How bad is VMA right now?

A lot of info on VMA is somewhat oudated because CP cap has since been raised and new sets released.

I want to know , how frustrating is VMA to beat now? In other words how long does an average player expect to learn it?

I have magplar and stamblade.

Personally I'm down to do extremely difficult group content, but spending a few dozens hours learning a solo trial just doesn't fit my play style.

Thoughts?

I find it is easier for me after 1T came out thanks to my new gear. At least for stamina. Idk about magicka.

It's been totally easy for my sorcerer now.

It's easier than ever if you have the gear for it.

It's still frustrating if you've never cleared it. But it's just an issue of learning and that takes time. Don't like it? Don't do it. Maelstrom weapons aren't magically making you an amazing player.

I completed my first run a few weeks ago. It took me about 6 hours to reach final stage, and another 6-8 hours to beat the final boss.

I ran it a second time and made it through the first 2 stages with no death (had multiple deaths the first run). The rest of the stages I had trouble here and there (Rink of Frozen Blood and Vault of Umbrage) but beat the final boss in 3 tries. Whole run probably too me 2.5-3 hours.

So I'd say it's still really hard the first time. But it's doable if you have reasonable gear and no physical limitations. Probably best to do a few stages at a time and let the progress save and come back later. It's less stressful that way. lol. Just be aware that it saves your progress at the start of each stage (not your round progress). So if you got to stage 4 final boss and quit and come back, you'll be on round 1 of stage 4.

This. I am however learning the stages faster since 1T was launched. Took me months on stage 4 before I gave up and when I returned a few days ago I cleared stage 4 after 3 or 4 tries. Thanks ZOS for the amazing new sets :)

You are still going to need to bang your head against it for a while, but it is not nearly as challenging as it was a year ago. If you have Vicious Ophidian gear and are comfortable on stam, I would give your NB a go. Templar is going to be a touch slower, but the self heals are really nice, so you might do better on that initially.

I would expect 6-10 hours of playtime for your first clear if you are decently skilled and appropriately built/geared. To stick on the boards for most classes, you are going to need to get your clears under an hour with 2-3 deaths.
