Does the Plague Doctor's Greaves piece even drop, or is it bugged?

Me and multiple friends were grouped up on PS4, NA in Deshaan, alternating between two particular World Bosses for hours, trying to get the various set pieces, in my case I just wanted a particular 5-piece Plague Doctor: Infused Cuirass, Infused Greaves, and the Healthy Jewelry.

Well, across all the players in all the hours no one got a single Plague Doctor's Greaves, not even of some pointless trait. Just nothing. Got set pieces of it fine in general, got the Cuirass tons, but never Greaves, only dropped greaves were for Night Mother's Embrace set...which frustratingly happened countless times...

So is it bugged, do Plague Doctor's Greaves just not drop right now, at least from World Bosses, or is that particular piece just as rare as getting 5 Kutas from a Heavy Sack two times in a row? >_>

Thanks in advance for any potentially helpful answers, if Legs really aren't dropping I'll just have to swap around an Armor Master piece to accomodate for it. I do have a Divines Plague Doctor's Sabatons just in case, but would rather avoid needing an additional 8 Tempering Alloys to make this work...

I've been farming the same zone but I was looking for Mother's Sorrow, I couldn't tell you if I got any PD greaves

think i found a green pair once in sturdy, only reason i remember that one is cause i laughed at how useless the 5 set was even with a tank trait

"Delve bosses have a chance to drop a waist or feet set piece from the zone they are located in.

Each boss also has a small chance to drop a unique set piece.

Overland group bosses have a 100% chance to drop head, chest, legs, or weapon set piece from the zone they are located in.

Public dungeon bosses have a chance to drop a shoulder, hand, or weapon set piece from the zone they are located in.

Treasure Chests gained from defeating a Dark Anchor have a 100% chance to drop a ring or amulet set piece form the zone they are located in.

Treasure chests found in the world have a chance to grant any set piece that can drop in that zone:
Simple chests have a slight chance of dropping an item set piece.

Intermediate chests have a good chance of dropping an item set piece

Advanced and Master chests have a guaranteed chance of dropping an item set piece

If you have the Treasure Hunter Champion Passive, both the above chances and quality of an item will be improved.
Treasure chests found from a Treasure Map have a guaranteed chance to drop one random set piece that can drop in that zone.
Major quests have been updated to reward a green or blue-quality set piece.

Regular monsters throughout Tamriel have a small chance of dropping any item set piece that can drop in that zone."

Since you can't find any from the World Bosses so far, perhaps try some chests and see if you get any

I haven't looted any from world bosses, but they allegedly drop from treasure chests.

It's a good set for a health stacking build, e.g. Blazing Shield templar.

Plague Doctor was the only set I managed to farm quickly. It literally took me around 3-4 hours to get the jewellery (purple), greaves and cuirass. Even managed to find it in impen. Happy days.

After I went to sleep for a while, one of those friends I was grouped with, my best friend in fact, finally found it and mailed it to me, it was even Infused, but thanks for all the responses! My tank already has 58.2k health, with this set it will just be ridiculously high, and I can breach resistance limit with the press of a button (Unstoppable ability). ^.^

Does this set have a unique appearance? I noticed that earlier in the year there was a Plague Doctor costume...

This statement may be slightly over exaggerated. After finding multiple unique shields in a row from the Abomination in Deshaan either I am very lucky or it is not so small of a chance.

Grats, glad you got it in the end. It's always the last piece you need that's the hardest to find. When I was grinding Burning Spellweave I managed to drop 4 pieces in just 2 runs of normal CoA. The breeches took me around 40-50 runs. I literally didn't even drop them in a bad trait - they just didn't drop at all. When I finally got them they were in impen and my god I was happy.

Thanks! With Plague Doctor on, my tank now has over 65k Health without Battle Spirit, and over 72k with it, I am most definitely pleased. I must issue some "Can you kill me by yourself?" Duel challenges.

The shiels IS the unique pice for the abomination.

The way it works, the boss either drops one piece from the usual list (belt or boot for dwelve boss; shoulderpad, gloves, or weapon for public dungeon boss; helm, chest, pants, or weapon for overland boss, etc) OR sometimes it drops its unique piece (like, say, if you farm the wraith-lady Llarel in her shelter, you can get a belt or boot for any of the three Deshaan sets, OR sometimes its unique sheltering shield... et cetera...)

You said that they can only be found chests. I have noticed that the greaves do not drop from world bosses but instead drop the sabatons which they should not.
