Why Ruby mats and tempers are so overpriced especially they are so abundant now?

In july tempered alloys were 6k in general and now they are 10k+ i was going to upgrade my new weapons and i decided to farm mats with my crafter and realised those ruby mats everywhere right now void steel is more rare than rubedite ore for me.

What happened did ZOS reduce the drop rates of tempers ?

Or is just a manupulation of greedy rich people and sucky trade system ? If yes dont feed those greedy people and go grab some ores by yourself !

No idea why ruby mats are going up. If anything, I've seen them staying at pre-patch levels. As for the gold tempers, Rosin has remained relatively unchanged. Dreugh Wax has gone up a little but Tempering Alloys have shot up. With people farming new sets, the mat farmers are selling the tempers at a premium since everyone is going to be redoing their setups. It's the nature of the updates, new gear means new setups which means prime time for mat farmers to make gold

Because 1 stack rubedite ore is 18-20k now prolly thats why tempered alloy off the roof

Np i will just go farming ores are so abundant now.

If they are going for 18-20k, the individual price would be somewhere in the area of 90-100g per ore. Then again, I don't sell the ore, only the extra ingots I have because I farm mats for upgrading the gear I have and for new toons that reach champ rank and sell off the gold tempers since I don't use them. But I sell those tempers below the MM price I have. IE: MM says Tempering Alloy is 9k each, I sell for 7250g each

when the meta shifts you see a change in demand as well. Theres a reason why rubenite ore is higher right now...

Supply and demand. With new gear, people are eating up tempers and crafting new gear to test stuff out with new combinations.

As for a manipulated market...say all you want about the capitalist trading system we have in game, but we can't deny that they had the smart idea to take advantage of it. And can we really blame them for wanting to make money (doesn't apply to illegitimate means of gaining materials)?

But as you said, if you want lower prices, don't buy them, and they'll go down in price. That being said, you need a pretty sizable shift in demand to cause a big price drop. Or you can wait it out. Demand will naturally drop after a while.

On PC NA Rosin went up a loooot, it was about 3,2k before now its 5,4 and up, im farming ruby ash again since i have to gold 6 new staves.

Sorry, but you sentences are just too fragmented for me to even attempt an economics lesson. If you don't like the prices, don't buy them. That simple. The very fact that you want them so bad is why they are going up in value. Because you are not special. Everyone wants gold mats.

I'm on PC NA is Rosin are still around 3k according to my MM. Dreugh Wax is around 5.5k though

As time goes on the total pool of gold in circulation is constantly increasing.

Thus raising the prices of the things most in demand.

It's basic economics.

Gold value like any fiat currency will drop, the more is printed/made.

Nope i have my gold mats saved. Everyone else probably. The mega rich keep making heaps of gold and selling it. A random scrub has shown me 50mil in chat before our economy needs a reset or the need to start banning people for buying all of one thing

Everyone is busy upgrading their new proc set items to gold.

Eventually the prices will crash, or at least return to normal. Best place to buy mats is from global chat lately, some people have offered some decent deals.

For so long people have been saying the prices will drop. In reality, as long as it's as hard as it is to farm gold mats and if zos keeps bringing out sets, the prices will continue to rise.

The only way gold mats will drop in price is if ZOS increases the drop rate on gold mats and honestly for one update they need to 30k on Xbox One is crazy for temps.

Anyone that has stated playing this game from now to about 4 months ago will probably never have all gold gear and that's going to turn away alot of players seeing as gold gear is a must for VMA, Trials and some dungeons and nobody is going to spend a 1.5+ mil or farm resource nodes a month straight to get all gold gear that's just dumb.

My fix is instead of 8 gold mats (with max passives of course) to have a 100% chance to upgrade it should require 6 gold mats to get a 100% chance to upgrade this would lessen the demand of upgrade mats while not making it to easy to get gold gear

On PS 4 (NA) they are liek 14-16K from 2-3 months..
