Undaunted - basic question

Ive never done an undaunted thingy. Can anyone tell me in simple terms

what it is ?
do I need to group with randoms to do it?
What are the rewards?

im getting confused with all the dungeons, normal and vet, dailies and now undaunted stuff

There are undaunted daily quests that ask you to complete a dungeon. You need a group of four, you can get a group using the activity finder or by asking in chat. After today's patch there are three people that offer these quests at the undaunted enclave (at each alliance capital). Two offer quest for dungeons from the base game and one (Urgalarg Chief-bane) offers dlc dungeons which are generally more difficult.

You can do the dungeons in normal or veteran, obviously you should do normal first and work your way up to veteran once you know what you're doing. Doing veteran dungeons is the only way to get helms from the undaunted sets, after completing the dungeon you speak to the quest giver and you get a key that you can use to open one of three chests that will give you a random shoulder from the undaunted sets (and other stuff).

There is an undaunted solo quest that is in a delve that consists of killing the delve boss and place/take some items. It awards a pack that contains various consumables, frequently a style material for the Draugr Style (pristine shroud), and less frequently a chapter from the Draugr style book.

There are 3 undaunted group quests that take place in group dungeons and usually require groups of 4 people that consist of killing 3 bosses in that dungeon. They award one key each, and 2 keys if it's done on veteran mode and the end boss is defeated fulfilling a certain condition - either reading a scroll that makes the boss stronger and/or adds more mechanics, or keep a number of adds alive, don't activate certain levers, have less space or time to defeat the boss or another such restrictions.
- Maj al-Ragath: one of the dungeons in alliance zones 1 or 2, eiter version I or II
- Gilirion the Redbeard's: one of the dungeons in alliance zones 3,4,5 either version I or II and Vaults of Madness in Coldharbour
- Urgalarg Chief-bane: one of the dungeons in DLC IC or SotH
There are 3 chests: the big one always contains a shoulder from one of the DLC dungeons. For the others I don't know the exact correspondence but they are grouped the same as the pledges. I think there's a note in the undaunted area.

There is a quest giver at the enclave that gives a daily delve quest that is solo and does reward undaunted xp. I think the solo delve gives 5 points, the normal dung 10 and the vet 20

Being in the undaunted guild also give you access to the undaunted skill line, which is advanced by completing group dungeons, doing daily undaunted quests, and completing dungeon achievements.
