Witch's Festival -- Masks drop rate

First ever drop I got the gold recipe, third drop the pumpkin mask. Nothing but a couple of gold recipes up to drop 120, where I got the pumpkin mask. Today in the space of 20 more drops I got another 3 pumpkin masks and no skeletal one.

The magic of RNG is alive and well

I open around 10 at a time and get mine from the same locations in Silver Deshaan either the dolmen near Zerk, the group dungeon there, the kigouti boss there, or from the little daedric spawn spot. Occasionally, I go other places thinking that might effect the outcome. No joy. At this point, I'm apt to give up on the masks and conclude the ZOS doesn't know how to host festivals. Festival events are a time where everyone gets everything so long as they put in the effort. It's not a deal where some of the people are given better odds and the rest wind up with a zero chance and call that RNG. I know that isn't the case. That's what it feels like.

As festivals go, this one blows. No special pets. No special mounts. No "party favors". No haunted dungeons. No little haunted village or unique location. To top it all off, they are dropping One Tamriel in the middle of the event. It's bound to mess things up. I just hope it messes things up for the better with those mask drops.

I like to do whatever I can regarding the RNG in this game in bulk, because my own experiences show me that the RNG develops patterns. I've refined a hundred mats with no gold tempers then got four in quick succession.

Last night, I opened 16 skulls in a batch and got two Bloody Mara recipes with, I think, two skulls between them. This kind of stuff seems to happen to me a lot, so I like to do bulks. If I'm getting bad rolls, bulk runs allow RNGesus to "get it out of his system."

I got the pumpkin mask in my first skull. Before I hit 100 skulls I got it a second time and had everything else. So I traded my 2nd pumpkin mask for a scarecrow mask with someone in one of my guilds. Usually I am not so lucky though so it was kind of a nice change of pace.

Idk, Ive picked up the ones i opened, and two more, 4 of the legendary recipes. Im sure ive opened 400 or more ish skulls though. First day i picked up both, i was around 68 opened by then. Its all luck man, most of my guildies rely on me to get items or things they cant haha. RNGezus is always with me,

By number 87 i had received 3 gold recipes. On number 88 i got a pumpkin mask. At about 120 now, still gonna try and get the scarecrow

135 skulls opened and I got everything.

I got at least a motif, recipe or mask on each one. Only 1 of each mask. Remember we do have another 2 weeks of this. I am sure we will all have the good stuff.

I've opened about 150 Skulls, have it all but only because I had a surplus of pumpkin masks to traded one for a scarecrow. I have enough motifs to kit out an alt apart from staves and bows.

But I am still going to milk this festival, milk it like cats.

Got pumpkin mask on 1st skull,150 skulls later, no other mask, about 6 gold recipes, way too many purple recipes and motifs. Have a hard time throwing away though, have given a lot away to guildies that needed them. Should have enough amber marble to craft hj sets for a long time to come.

Used 2 gave 1 away. Felt good about it.

Before 100 skulls, I had all recipes, Hollowjack pages, and both masks, but haven't got spare mask boxes to sell yet. So… keep cracking skulls.

100+ skulls so far, no mask. One full set of motifs, and three more partials, plus all of the recipes, including several Bloody Mara. Working on my second character now, so maybe I'll get lucky...

To get the Plundr Skulls containing the masks, I was doing mainly normal level group dungeons as I prefer that content and each has several bosses. Also public dungeons are good as they have multiple bosses and are enjoyable content, and there are loads of people in them right now to help out. But at one point I joined a large group in Deshaan who were farming a world boss and anchor over and over in succession.

The masks and recipe should have been awarded for the achievement unlocks instead of being left to RNG. Just the opinion of a peon though, what do I know...

Honestly to me, the masks and the armor are hideous, just ugly... who would wear this? I got the pumpkin mask and promptly took it off. Should have sold it

I would have to agree, don't see what is so appealing about the masks and armor.
