Lower than Grand Soul Gems can no longer be used

I have noticed on a lowbie alt, since this update, that any Petty, Minor, Lesser, Common or Greater soul gems that are filled can not be used to charge weapons any more, EVEN if the weapons are level 15 due to the scaling. They all have to be Grand soul gems.

Please fix this or replace all my lower filled and empty soul gems with Grand soul gems so I can keep my weapons charged. Thanks.

    It's intended. It's on the patch notes. You will also notice you now only pick up grand souls gems.

    I've only ever been playing on my max level toons since the new patch and no there were so many changes, I didn't notice it in the patch notes.

    It sucks.. they should have auto replaced the ones that were of lower grade.

    I said as much in the PTS... they evidently disagreed :(

    I see no reason they could not have done so and been far more fair with this change.

    I think turning one item into another item is probably not an easy thing to implement, so they didn't bother.
