Why is New York not a valid state to enter the new contest? I know NY sucks but why can't we enter?

Could be specific laws in that state (I'm from NYC and it could be contest/gambling laws)
I just moved to Georgia so I'm eligible now

NYS has very strict laws surrounding gambling, lotteries, and contests. For example, NYS Gaming Commission use VLTs instead of standard class III slot machines at a casino.

NY has very strict gambling laws. Its actually an interesting history to learn. At one time all the gambling was mob controlled, and there had to be a major crackdown when it made it to epidemic proportions. They even banned pinball machines and other arcade games for a while because they were labelled as gambling machines.
