Please tell all thoughts on how you think the masks will trade after the halloween event ends. Do you think the prices to sell them will be high? Do you think there will be a lot of people who missed them who will want them, do you think they will be unique in respect to future events, do you think they are worth investing in/saving ....?

That said, there's a lot of time left before it ends, so the chances are good that you'll get at least one before then. In the meantime, if you see a price that's reasonable, jump on it. There are a lot of folks out there who don't have their craniums lodged firmly in their rectums and aren't gouging prices. Collectors and just normal players are gonna want the after the event.... Atleast the pumpkin one. The pumpkin one already has a really REALLY high asking. So all the people who hoped its gonna drop for them are gonna start buying them. First the price will go down to almost nothing compared to first sales (its already 40-60k on PC EU) then they will go up since its unobtainable.

✭✭✭✭✭I went through about 200 skulls so far and earned one scarecrow mask and just bought the missing pumpkin mask when the price dipped to 50k. It will probably drop even more before the event ends. I'd imagine the price to rise again through the new year as players that missed the event look to buy leftover masks that have been stashed away. Why is the community so greedy lately? I mean compensation is reasonable, but this is ridiculous. Ridiculous enough for me to start giving motifs, masks and Vamp Bites away for free to break the market a little. It makes me a little sick thinking the community has gotten this stingy in a matter of a few months.

lol, on PC the motif pages were going for over 100k on the first day.
Second day they had already dropped down to under 10k, now they are all under 5k and many go for 1-2k.
I haven't found any masks yet after opening around 80 chests so I might buy them, might not. After Halloween is gone everyones gonna be going crazy for whatever motif/mask Life Festival will be offering and the Halloween masks will be soooo last month.0 -

I saw the pumpkin being advertised for between 30K and 50K in zone chat. But this is during the event. After the event, the prices may go up for those not lucky enough to get them.
Hold on to them for a few months. The prices will drop on these things as more and more people get them and sell their duplicates during the event. Afterwards, some who were not as lucky may get jealous or new players may want them.Edited by drakhan2002_ESO on October 17, 2016 1:06PM1 -

People will be people. Considering how people treat each other elsewhere in this game (and outside of this game, for that matter), it's really no surprise. Just another case of yout typical h0mo homini lupus*.
When the witches festival started and I saw pumpkins and guts for sale at every guild store for 999 gold each, I just shook my head and said "of course". The most baffling thing isn't that people try to exploit others and leech gold out of them, the baffling thing is that many are actually buying pumpkins for 999 gold each (when they're sold at the NPC next door for like 20 gold). And buying new motif chapters for 200-300k per page. You just have to look at your MM charts to see that.
But then again, I suppose some people have exploited this game so massively in the past, by botting, by insta-spawning easy-to-kill mobs, by bugs and glitches and what not, that they just have so much money now that they couldn't really give a damn.
*And wow on ZOS for actually censoring the word h0mo. I mean, it used to mean 'human' in good old latin, but now I guess it's nothing but a swear word that needs to be weeded out by your crappy autocensor system. Am a little over halfway there on NA char and not gotten a mask or a gold recipe. Upside there is she actually needs the delve discos in the AD so getting some double down
