patch one tamriel bad

this patch was not good for all !!
this patch was good for players with enough cp (cp 400 or more) and that are in the game a long time
Strong players do not feel too much trouble, weak players have more difficulty now
this patch spoiled for those who prefer to play alone and forces players to play together (before you had the choice of playing in a group or alone)
why use trait training now? Lost the sense of use !!
this scaled system does not seem to work properly !! A character with all green gear and a green weapon sometimes quick kills.......another character with everything green kills more slowly

I did not like this patch!!!

Damn ZOS for making an MMO that cannot be played solo. They must be stopped!

Well, you can solo a lot of it. Quite a few newer players feel weaker since One Tamriel scaled everything, so he's probably just venting. Once he levels up and gets some more CP he'll faceroll the content.
I mean, it kind of makes sense to be weaker the less CP you have, so I don't really understand his argument there.

I can sympathize with the OP, the first time I entered into a scaled dungeon I freaked out, died almost instantly and could not get out of there fast enough.

When I first played I was only ever playing solo, you fought world bosses at your level and if you could not beat them, you either waited for someone to come along or carried on and came back later when you had leveled some more, improved your armour and had new skills. The latter option is all out of the window now as everything scales and I expect some world bosses will not be able to be soloed until you are level 50 and have a stack of CP.

This also foes for dolmens and is bad for those who like/want to play alone and might be very frustrating for new players being unable to beat bosses. You don't know if you are weak, if you are doing something wrong, have a bad setup, etc.

I am on PS4, so am still waiting for the 1T, The above is based on what I have read on these forums.

Peple play this game for different reasons.

When I started playing the game, if there was a way to take it "offline" and play solo with no other players in my instance, I would have jumped at the chance. I did not buy the game because it was an MMO (this is my first MMO), I bought it because I liked the Elder Scrolls games.

I wish there was a way that the people saying the game is too hard could just try the version that was originally released!!

Back then when I first encountered groups of 3 enemies I had to re-assess my whole set-up........

Not to mention Doshia the first Harvester I ever encountered........ yes guys......... believe it or not Doshia used to be alive long enough to transform into a Harvester!! >:)B)>:)

Lol yeah. Doshia and Gutsripper used to be equipment and build checks. And then there was the original vet solo content...

I rolled a new character just after the release of the One Tamriel patch & applied none of my CP on him (I plan to level him in BWB where there is no CP so I need to get used to how he plays with no CP) & in my opinion, the difficulty is still completely solo-able except for world bosses & group dungeons. Public dungeons are tough for my lvl10 stam sorc but do-able with some patience.

Dolmens can still be solo'd by a reasonably good build (with CP!) but it took me ages to find this out because there are always so many players at Dolmens at the moment... farming plunder skulls & jewellery. I have successfully solo'd one world boss since One Tamriel with my Magicka Sorc .. but it was difficult & I almost died a couple of times. Usually you won't have to solo WBs because other players will roll up to farm them.

I think ZOS have done a great job to get players active all over all the zones without really adding much content... it was a really good idea.

I don't think I was in there during thaaaaat point in time, however I do remember the game being harder even when I joined. Craglorn's a joke now. It's like... "Huh." Pretty sure that if people weren't around, I could still solo the Nirncrux mines and the Anomalies.

Now the only thing that's really hard for me is soloing the old 'normal' dungeons now, since I can swap the difficulty to Veteran and use the Undaunted scroll. It's fun though!

Im only at CP161 and doing just fine on my 30 Templar i started when One Tamriel came out. Obviously Dolmens are a bit rough to solo now and well WB's at low lvl are next to impossible but seriously the rest is quite soloable. It is a MMO afterall not a single player game. If you wanna solo everything go back to Skyrim i guess cause this isnt a single player game just alot of content is soloable and One Tamriel if anything in my opinion just made it easier to solo other then the forementioned Dolmens/WB's.

I haven't even used my CP from the last reset, haven't played a while / forgot most things and still find it easy. Even with new characters. I honestly don't know what you're talking about.

I took about a month off to cooldown trying to kill that *** at release LOL. She did need a nerf a bit but good lord they turned her into a wet noodle. Went a tad bit overboard on the toning down lol. Hadnt tried her since i killed her back then until yesterday leveling a new templar and i was shocked at what they did to her.

To be honest, I've no idea what the OP is talking about, unless his complaint is that he can't solo 4 man content. I've been playing One Tamriel solo with assorted characters at levels in the tens, thirties, forties and at level 50 with not many cps, and have done everything I used to do before. The difference is that I can also play cooperatively with other players of completely different levels and we all tackle the same mobs with no issues at all. I think the scaling is implemented brilliantly. It's also opened up the DLCs at any level rather than having to do them at level 50 in order to avoid being too over-leveled for the base game.

I wish I had started playing back before the Doshia nerf. Even though I almost exclusively PVP now, I had always thought that the solo PVE content was way too easy, and I'm jealous of those who got to experience a difficult Doshia.

To be honest, a big part of the Doshia difficulty back then was our collective ignorance of the mechanics. A lot of people were ignoring the healing globes and she would just heal right back up. Once I figured out you want to treat those globes as adds, AOEing harvesters became routine and pretty easy. Gutsripper was actually tougher.

I did the same in the PTS when this update first went there. Playing a stamsorc as a hybrid (relying on the clanfear for heals) and using overload as the ulti let me solo dolmens and public dungeons just fine. And then of course there's the huge extra buff low level characters get with OT and how easy it is to get a full set of Trainee armor.

Anyone complaining about the difficulty should be seriously taking a look at their build and skill choices: one heal skill + one crowd control skill + AOE damage skills + the right regen passives and you're laughing even with with zero CP.

The other bit of difficulty with Doshia depended on the faction as well. The room you fight her in for AD and DC is quite a bit larger than what EP got so if you were EP and doing that quest step at a low level, you were pretty much forced into a melee fight.

Also, you really needed to destroy the healing globes with an AOE skill, if you ran around trying to pick them off one at a time Doshia would get you. The trouble was, you were typically doing that stage of the quest at say level 10-12 max, and not everyone would have specced any AOE skills at that stage. It was probably most players' first tough fight and as such it caught them unawares. That's my excuse for those early deaths anyway!
