Can We Please Get a "Fix" on Joining Undaunted Pledges Midway?

I pick up the three Undaunted dungeon pledges. I queue (fortunately, I'm a healer so I don't wait hours). I pop into a group...and they're somewhere in-progress on the dungeon, having killed at least one boss. Now I am presented with a conundrum: help them with absolutely no benefit to myself except feeling good, or drop and wait 15 minutes to queue again.
Could we, perhaps, get a fix to this? Perhaps it could work by having you join them in progress, down a boss, and have your pledge progress updated to match theirs? It's exceedingly frustrating all parties, as I'm sure people watch as replacement members add and drop once they realize the dungeon is in progress, and those replacement characters watch their queue times grow and grow just to finish a pledge.

CapnPhoton✭✭✭✭✭It would probably be difficult to implement. however, perhaps there could be a warning pop up before joining the group that 'the quest is already in progress', so then you can decide if you are just going to help out, or you want more from the encounter.Xbox One NA Aldmeri Dominion1 -

✭Just add a system like "Neverwinter" where as soon as you join que group your kill stats for quests are updated to match the rest of the groups.PS4 NA

✭Joining any dungeon in progress should not be a thing. I joined a daily Ruins of Mazzatun random daily yesterday. I believe they were on the last boss, but I wouldn't know for sure since I ran a good 75% of the way through that long dungeon just for the crown to disband the group.

Well, that sounds horrific. At least there's a portal now that takes you to where the group is, but I don't know how I'd feel after that situation.@Mic1007
