The droprates seem terrible, and also for the gold recipes, at least for me. At least 150 skulls opened and nothing gold yet. RIP

ps. Speculations on whether it matters which bosses you kill etc? For example instanced dungeons vs public dungeons & bosses =P

Extremely lucky to have gotten a pumpkin mask on skull #16.

Only three motifs and one purple recipe ... so running behind in those areas ...

EDIT: Received a second pumpkin mask on skull #31. Traded it for the other mask quite briskly ...

First skull had the double bloody mara, around fifty skulls later I only need 4 more motfis so it's working out not too bad compared to my normal luck.

Im around 37ish skulls and Ive gotten the whole set of the motif, the bloody mara recipe and the scarecrow mask. Pretty much just opening them at this point to hit the 100 before I go back to business as usual. Ill make a note if I find any others.

Well, they're supposed to be rare and hard to get. We're in, what, day three of the event and have until the 1st? If everyone got one of everything, people would be QQing about that too.

Id say you seem lazy. In just a handful of hours Ive been able to acquire the entire Motif with extra copies, most of the recipes and 1 of the 2 masks twice. And we still have 16 days left of the event. Now Im sure theres plenty of people out there with a crappy RNG but that doesnt mean they wont get what they want and need with over 2 weeks left of the event.

For me, finding a place to play that is not over-populated by spawn-camping vet/champs is most challenging. I have found 5 motif parts, only 3 different ones, and 2 recipes. No masks. I am not camping at spawns, however, so some of my times was used in playing the game.

Sounds like someone who hasn't opened 300 skulls and gotten 0 masks

who the f cares about motifs?

I have gotten 3x full book now from those 150, and even if I hadnt they sell for 500gold each

As for lazy well I am a pve player for the most part so i will have opened at least 1-2k skulls by the end of this event, this post is all about drop rates scrub

YAY!

I got about 50-60 skulls last night. I got one gold recipe from it at the end and no mask yet, but I'm determined to get one so I will keep trying. I'm mostly getting motifs though, so much so that I just started handing them out to party members because I was running out of space like crazy.

I don't know if my methods are the wisest, but I just wait at one of the delve boss spawns killing nearby enemies as I wait, then I leave and sell other drops (like weapons and armor), come back and repeat. Hopefully soon I'll get a mask. :P

Nearing the end of my plunder skull farm (only 9 skulls to go) and I got the scarecrow mask today in a public dungeon and just bought the pumpkin mask for 60k from a fellow guild member. After this event, I don't think I can stomach any more delves, overland bosses and dolmens for awhile. Back to ploughing my way through gold. On the plus side, I've now completed all dolmens, delves in all faction areas and cyrodiil.

It would be wise to do random normal group dungeons as you can get about 6 plunder skulls a hit, note that you have to wait 3 minutes after each boss fight so as to ensure plunder skulls will drop from each one.(at least that was what I was told by one of the recent groups yesterday.)
