Need help with a magicka dk.
I'm currently levelling a magicka dragonknight and wish to get my end game gear sorted. My question being, would it be better to run
2 bloodspawn/skoria
5 heavy kags
2 torugs pact
3 willpower
or:
5 blackrose
5 transmutation
And also what should my skill bar look like?
Please give me advice as i've never had an endgame magicka dk before. Thank you.

✭✭✭Considering you're talking about Transmutation I'm assuming you're thinking of a tanky role in PvP?
Transmutation does literally nothing useful in PvE... but with that set-up you'll never have enough magicka to do much of anything.5 -

Pve:
2 skoria heavy
5 silks of the sun(Jewlery, light belt infused, inferno staff)
4 heavy Magnus(divines/infused, light gloves)
*+/- 3k SD w/ 14-1500 recovery, 37k mag, 20k health, resistances like 18s or so. So much fire...so many meteors
Pvp:
2 skoria heavy
5 kagrenacs heavy impen(light belt/gloves)
5/4 sun(s&b on close combat bar/inferno staff for range and magic recovery)
Spell damage takes a bit of a hit here, drops to around 2400-2500 area, regen stays comparable, health goes up to around 22k, resistances in the 24-25k range. Really good at making an utter mess of things via proxy det/chains/standard/talons/wall of elements/deep breath. Such a fun way to charge a breach Edited by bigted209 on October 15, 2016 8:58PM5

✭✭✭There are a lot of possibilities. For a magDK in pvp your problems will be no burst damage so put CP into Thaumaturge. Elf Bane is a great choice to bolster fire damage. Elf Bane is my favorite heavy DK magicka set, but with 1T there's lot of new possibilities. Looks like you're using dual wield since you mention using 12 slots above. I myself want to test the magic penetration set but I don't recall the name offhand.0 -

✭I'm using amber plasm and transmutation when I'm support healing and answer plasm/heavy kags since i have it when i want to do dps.
I've been playing it for a day now so take it with a grain of salt but regen send to be more important than spell damage. Half of the skills in using are so cost inefficient...0
