Destroying Items - Legendary items from Holiday events are worthless?

When I want to destroy Some common glyph I get a pop up window asking if I am sure. Of course I'm sure!
When I want to destroy random green piece I picked up by mistake I am asked if I am sure. Of course I'm sure!
When I want to destroy blue item cuz it's taking up space for no reason I get asked if I'm sure. Of course I'm sure!
When I want to destroy epic Mercenary Motif from Undaunted Pledge I am asked if I'm sure and I must write. "DESTROY". Irritating as Hell! Ofc ourse I'm sure, I got hundreds of them!
But, when I want to link my Scarecrow Helmet into chat and by mistake click Destroy it disappears without trace. Of course I wanted to destroy it, it's not like I can't get another one in a matter of minutes or few gold pieces from AH. Why would you ask me if I'm sure or make me write "DESTROY"? Now that would be silly, wouldn't it?
P.S. I am not angry. I got 3 masks from something like 20 skulls. Yes, I'm a lucky ***. But still, it's the principle that pissed me off!

✭✭✭Wouldn't it be worse if it was super-easy to accidentally delete something from inventory?
It used to be. I know I managed to do so in combat in a Trial once. Nothing important but still. Not least because sometimes people play while sleepy.
Who hasn't "crafted while tired" and made - or destroyed - something that ended up being a pricey mistake?1 -

I take it you're not a compulsive hoarder; I use it when I'm sitting in front of the boss I just killed and found out I have a full inventory, usually on things like Carapace or dropped potions to make room for a piece that can be deconned into something useful.#proud2BAStarObsessedLoony
