The motif was free... You paid 2200 crowns for 54 mimic stones which is a discount on their regular price.

By this logic i`ll give you a free apex mount, you just need to pay for the 10000 mimic stones i bundle it with. The package is 200$ but the mount is totally free! Good deal!

Store exclusive motif with differing styles for male and female? No, I'm not ok with it. Not after the giant deal Zos made about not creating male and female armor styles in game anymore. Changing two existing styles, Orc and Redguard, saying only male artwork would be used, and then releasing a Crown Store only motif that has two different styles... The most blatant lie I've seen to date.
I probably would have bought it, if it hadn't gone back on their earlier statement. Why do they think obvious lies will sell more than just keeping the old styles and having a new, holiday style in the store? Incompetent crown store management is the only reason I can think of. Do they think no one notices?
It's a purely cosmetic item. It has no implications on game balance. In a game without a subscription fee, that is exactly the sort of item most appropriate for the cash shop.
In fact, let's hope that ZOS is successful with this, that they make plenty of money on awesome-looking cosmetics. We want them to make money. We don't want them to turn into another Archeage/ Neverwinter pay-to-win game, where the cash shop is the clear path to making your character powerful.
ZOS has a very reasonable B2P model. Even as a subscriber, I am happy about that, as it preserves the integrity of the gameplay.
